Hi everyone.

I am currently 7w2d pregnant but have had spotting for 10 days between 4w3d & 6w1d with some cramping. A scan at 6 weeks showed a heartbeat which is good i know but i have constant period type lower abdo pain virtually all the time but no bleeding/spotting now. Its been bad enough some days that i have taken paracetamol which i swore i would never do.

I also have PCOS - could this be the reason?

Does this sound like i should be worried?

I am so anxious about this & can't seem to concentrate on anything.

My first and only other pregnancy was 15 years ago & i don't remember having any of this.

hi

It's perfectly normal to have these kinds of pains and doesn't mean that anything bad is going to happen.

Spotting also is normal but it's good that it's now stopped.

all sounds perfectly usual to me but if you're worried, please go to your gp or midwife/epu for a check up.

It is normal. Try not to worry, easier said then done I know but its the best for you and your little one. It's wonderful you've seen a heartbeat already. Take care and I hope its a healthy and happy next few months for you

Hi, it is entirely normal I had it bad with my DD so much I would have to sit down and breathe it out. She is almost 18 months.
At this stage of pregnancy your uterus will be stretching and making room for your wee bean.
If you do bleed then, ring your doc, you can lose quite a bit of blood and still be fine anyway :)

I had it and you need to stop thinking of it as period pain. It's not. It's a pregnancy pain.

I don't know if this will frighten you or not... link of symptoms of miscarriage it states everything very clearly. :)
