Should I insist on a D&C?

Hi
I would really appreciate some advice.

A week ago I started spotting at 11 weeks and so went to A&E. A scan showed 6 weeks and no heartbeat so they told me to come back in a week. Over the week I continued to bleed and had really strong cramps. Yesterday I went back for another scan and they confirmed it was a miscarriage but said it wasn't over yet and I would just have to go home and wait for it to happen.

I found the last week really tough and really just want this to be over now. Should I insist on a D&C?

Thanks

I am so sorry you are going through this and that is taking so long.

Have you gone to your local EPU? When it was discovered I had a MMC at 10 weeks they gave me the option of a ERPC. I think it is a totally personal thing and whatever you feel you need to do then I think you should be allowed that option (I wanted it to be a natural MC - not sure why I just did), so in a round about way I am saying that yes you should insist on a D&C (ERPC) if that is what you want.

Take care xxx

Yes, if that is what you want, then don't be quiet until you get it.

Take care.
