Abdonminal Pain after ERPC - evacuation

I'm having a lot of pain after my ERPC on tuesday. Doctors keep increasing painkillers.

My swabs came back clear, I have no temperature so presumably no infection.

I'm just wondering how long to expect this pain as I want to get back to normal & get back to work.

It's my 2nd MMC but last time was very different to this time!

How long did the pain last for anyone else?

Just a day, and I've had 3 ERPC's.

If you are really worried make a huge fuss, they wont listen otherwise :(

Hope you feel better soon.

Lasted about a week for me with terrible 'contraction' type feelings :( I was told to give it 2 weeks but just keep taking the painkillers :(

I've had 2 and neither caused me pain to speak of. Period like pains, maybe a little more painful but nothing to merit painkillers. I defintely wouldn't wait 2 weeks feeling like that. Look after yourself

hi there i had mine a week ago and on two occasions since bleeding and pain stopped but i did some cleaning nothing major but this started the bleeding and pain cramps again.

maybe u should go to a & e maybe they need to do another scan i am thinking about this also as my bleeds stopped for 3 day and now started all of a sudden.

Wonderif, have been thinking about you. I went back to work on Tuesday so have been trying to get back to normal but still desperately sad about everything.
Did you find the answer about the bleeds...am in the same situation today; I stopped on Weds but has started again today.

I had my ERPC on 3rd of June and was in loads of pain for 2 weeks then it gradually lessened for another week. My bleeds were on and off too and it took 4 weeks for it to stop completely. I have only just had my first period. Go to the Dr if you are worried though.

hi lion mummy how are you now?

my bleeding had all stopped but then again started last night when out for a walk.

i am off work still, dont feel ready to go back yet lucky i have good employers who understand, but we are due to get a call about the babies ashes as they said 2 weeks so it will be 2 weeks on friday.

hope your feeling a bit better lion mummy ?

velvetcu thanks for your reply that puts my mind at ease

lion mummy, i decided to go back to doc today they put me on an antibiotic metronidazole for a week in hope that clears it all up.

maybe u should get checked just incase too.

Thanks Wonderif - it's stopped again but I think I'll go back if it starts again. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that I had the surgery so was advised that the bleeding would have stopped by then.
So nice to hear that you are not rushed back to work. It hasn't been as bad as I thought going back to work. I now have a kind of mental script that I say when people ask how I am. There are those that don't mention it, just do the eye flick at my stomach :) like I don't notice!
