I had an ERPC last thurs and the 12 year old doctor they found to discharge me was hopeless! Does anyone know how long I should wait before exercising?I did an exercise DVD this morning and then felt horrendous which made me think it was probably too soon. I'm just desperate for my body to get back to normal. Any advice would be v welcome

Hello again! I haven't done anything yet but am planning on going back to the gym for a light workout (the sort I was doing when pregnant) either tomorrow or wednesday. The sheet I was given at hospital said I could exercise as soon as I felt ready. Give it a rest tomorrow and then maybe try again. You could always go for a brisk walk and see how you feel. I reckon it's just a case of listening to your body and not pushing it quite yet.

Sorry about your mc, I remember that wanting your body to get back to normal

I asked the same question of the Miscarriage Association after my ERPC back in Jan, this is what they said:

"As long as you feel physically ready, you can go back to your exercise routine when you want. Sometimes after a miscarriage/ERPC some women can feel physically weak for several days, so it is worth taking this time gently if this happens."

Getting back into an exercise routine helped me feel like I was doing something positive. Good luck.
