How best to deal with a nasty teacher? My DD has just started middle school, which has been really great, except for this one woman.
My 9 year old's teacher is ignoring her/giving her dirty looks (yes - really!) which is spoiling her enjoyment of one of her favourite lessons. This is all because I had a conversation with this prize plonker about earrings in the first week (not relevant but she was basically saying DD's newly pierced ears couldn't have tape etc over them for another week or so until they fully healed - which isn't even true as lots of girls in that school use tape or spacers) - in which it felt like she was trying to bully me - and I promise I was nothing but very polite in return, and my daughter was just stood listening to this so couldn't be accused of being a "naughty" kid or anything. I didn't react to the teacher's attitude in the way it seemed she wanted, by being arsey back or cowering, and I think this irritated her, she is now taking it out on my daughter. My daughter behaves well in school, obeys all rules, tries in lessons, does homework, is kind etc so nothing else is going on to warrant this behaviour.
Do I email her, or ask for a meeting with her in the first instance or just go straight away and contact the head teacher? Any other ideas?
