Hi looking to relocate to Liverpool and wanted to find out peoples views on any of the private primary and secondary schools please. Thanks.

Where in Liverpool will you be based? Merchant Taylors in Crosby used to have an excellent reputation but now it really, really doesn't; most parents I know whose children attended MTS/MTGS have moved them to Scarisbrick Hall. If you're in certain desirable pockets of South Liverpool, or the leafier bits of Sefton, the local state schools are very good and you may genuinely prefer them.

Private is limited. Merchants, Scarisbrick Hall, St Mary's. Scarisbrick Hall is technically Lancashire but easy to get to from the Nort. We actually preferred St Mary's though in the end, felt a bit more down to earth. Depends what you are after

Hi, I have a friend who's children attend belvedere preparatory and she speaks very highly of this school. Also heard good things about Carleton prep too, both South Liverpool area. Hope this helps

Hi, it depends where in Liverpool you are. In the north, Merchant Taylors is best and the Catholic college, St Mary's. In the south, Liverpool College and Belvedere, although Belvedere is girls only.
