Returning Expat - Moving to Surrey

We are returning to the UK after 16 years living in Tokyo. My 10 year old son is in a Canadian International School studying the IB PYP program. We are moving to Woking area in Surrey.

We applied to St George’s in Weybridge (Year 7) which offers GCSE, and ACS Egham (Grade 6) which runs IB MYP program.

I am not sure which one is good for him. We like St. George’s because of the facilities and the fact that he could blend in to the UK local school life, but we are not sure if my son could adapt the exam based GCSE curriculum after the project based PYP, which he likes.

MYP at ACS Egham is a next level of the PYP but obviously not the mainstream in the UK, and the school has smaller campus.

Appreciate if anybody could share your opinion. Thanks.
