Testosterone and self confidence

I have been on the correct dose of estrogen ((Estrodot patch, 100mg and mirena coil) for almost two years. This combination has helped enormously with all my physical meno symptoms, however, I have lost my confidence and get anxiety over the slightest things with no real reasons as everything is going well in my life (fingers crossed it continues).
I have an appointment with my GP next Monday and was wondering if I should ask for testosterone or just accept that this is the best it gets. My GP has suggested adding testosterone before and I would like some wise mumsnetter’s advice, please.
I am 57 by the way.

As you probably know, testosterone is not licensed in the UK. A GP can prescribe off-licence, but mine would only prescribe for libido.

I found testosterone had a massive impact on my libido. I haven’t noticed a lot of difference in anything else, although I wasn’t looking for any other benefits. I haven’t heard of it as a solution for anxiety.
