I am moving to Farnham next week and would like to meet mums in the area. My 1 & 3 yr DDs would also love some play pals. We arrived in UK (from Aust) six weeks ago and know not a soul here. Looking forward to your reply

Hello
I'm an older mom too but I don't live in Farnham but I am in Amersham, which is not too far away. I pass by Farnham Common sometimes on my way to Slough. I have a 6 month old son, not a suitable playmate for your dds, I'm afraid, but I thought I'd reply to your post anyway.

Hi,

I live in Mytchett and have lots of kiddies as i'm a foster Mum, my two are 11 and 10, and i foster kiddies who have learning disabilities who are 9,8,4 and 3. probably no good for playing with your two, but if you need some adult company drop me a line!!

just looking to see what an 'older' mum is!!

savanna · 16/10/2005 10:40

Hi Mandajane, not sure where Mytchett is.
Auntymandy, I think an "older mum" is one over 35.

Hi Fernbeth, just thought I'd say hi, I know Farnham fairly well, it's a nice place.

mandajane, I lived in Mytchett for over 14 years, and I still go back every fortnight to see my dp's parents who live on Mytchett Road.

Fernbeth
Welcome to Farnham! I live just outside towards Hindhead, but I'm afraid my ds is now 7.
However, contact the local National Childbirth Trust (NCT) as I think they are fairly active in Farnham, and have loads of stuff going on for moms and pre school kids. Your doctor or health visitor should have their number.

Good luck, and hope you enjoy living here

Hi Fernbeth, just saw this message from a while back. Did you mean Farnham, Surrey? If so, I'm in the area, and am also Australian, with a dd who is 3 and another due Dec 17. Hope you're settling in ok over here
