I'd love to meet some nice new people around Weybridge. Haven't given the mums and toddler groups much of a go, but will try another tomorrow. Is there anyone about?

Hi, I live in Hersham. Expecting 1st daughter anyday literally...she's due today, but as you can see isn't being very punctual!! Excuse my ignorance what does SAHM stand for madmummyof2??

Shimmers · 21/10/2005 00:12

Hi mrow, exciting times!!!!! Good luck. Are you having the baby at St Peter's?

F.Y.I , SAHM stands for Stay at home Mum.

Steppy1 · 21/10/2005 06:01

..I'm not from Weybridge, but hope you don't mind me hopping onto your thread - I used to live in Chertsey that's all, use to have our district sports in Walton and use to spend hours and hours down by the Thames at laleham so your thread brought back lots of childhood memories.....was also a regular visitor to what used to be Thames Court (the lovely pub by the River in Shepperton !) in by teens...oh what happy memories. Have a fab meet up !!!!

auntymandy · 21/10/2005 06:28

I used to have a boyfriend eho lived in Weybridge!

mrow · 21/10/2005 11:21

You know it just dawned on me in bed this morning what it stood for! I'm sure my I.Q. has deteriorated the past few months!!
Im having the baby at Kingston as I lived nearer there when I got pregnant and didnt bother to change everything when I moved down.
I live on Lindley road. Molesey road sounds familiar so is probably really near just cant quite place it! Not so much nervous about delivery as anxious to get on with it now you know! Think I'll go buy raspberry leaf tea and a big pineapple today and try speed things along!!!
The end really drags and there is only so many times you can check your hospital bag!

madmummyof2 · 25/10/2005 14:14

any news on the bump mrow???

mrow · 26/10/2005 14:23

Still waiting!! Have a good feeling about today though!!!

racherivi · 01/11/2005 22:31

Hi, hope you don't mind me tagging on. I'm Rachel, 30yr old Sahm, just moved to Stanwell last month and don't know a soul! My dd (17mths) and ds (2wks) are hoping to find some friends and a social life.
Would be lovely to talk to adults and get to know the area abit. Haven't got a clue where anything is but i know Weybridge is nearby somewhere (seen the bus go past)!!!!
Or if anyone has any info on toddler groups in the area that would be great too.
Thanks.....Rachel x

Try the rugby club in hersham it has a ball park fun place there the other mums say it is good .Also a toddler group in weybridge is in the church towards the station at the end of the high street on a tuesday .

mumbojumbo · 02/11/2005 06:25

I glanced at this thread as I was born in Walton, moved away as a child and moved back when I got a job at Birds Eye when I left college. I lived for a number of years in both Walton and Weybridge. My nan and grandad used to live in Lindley Road - small world, mrow! Now left the area but fond memories - The Swan was my local!

Have you had your baby yet? Good luck!
