Hi, I have been over here for nearly 4 years now, and I love it, I've got two children aged 10 and 2, how long have you been over here for, I was suprised to see a reply to my post, as there doesn't seem to be many of us from NI on here!! Its a shame because it seems alot of areas in England do meetups and stuff !

Yes, NI mums are a bit thin on the ground! I think there are a couple of posters who are from the Belfast area but I can't recall seeing anyone else from Co. Down.

Anyway, I've been here nearly 5 years now. My husband is from over here so I moved over to be with him. We have one boy who is just over a year.

I've been dying to meet up with new people as all the people I know are my wife's friends and family!

Hi LL. Most of my friends over here are people I've met through work so I guess it must be tough to meet new people when you're a stay at home dad.

Its really hard, being a stay at home mum too meeting new friends, people always seem to have their circle of friends and thats that !, but all the same I love it over here and my little one will be starting pre school next year so will have the chance to meet more new people then ! :-)

My fiance is also from over here, so thats how I found myself here ! we are planning to get married next year ! I cant wait lol.
