I know you left your message back in 2003 but if you are still looking for new recruits I have a son of 3 months. I moved to Nottingham from London back in September and am desperate to meet some new mums.

Easy · 26/04/2004 22:31

Hello, I live in Nottingham, am a SAHM at the moment, with a son of 4 & 1/2.

I've been on a couple of Midland's meet ups, theyre great and ds loves them too. Perhaps we should team up with the derbyshire lot.

roisin · 26/04/2004 22:43

Hiya! I don't live in Nottingham, or anywhere near, but did live there as a student and subsequently for 7 years. A friend recently told me it's very rough there; loads of gun crime. Is that right? Seems a bit of a change from the Nottm I knew.

AllyP: there seems to be an active MNet group in Derby and not a few near Leicester/Loughborough, if you can get to those places.

Roisin: I think Nottingham is very bitty -- legacy of history as many villages. Parts are very rough and other parts almost untouched by crime.

babysteffee · 03/07/2004 17:26

Hi all.

I live near Notts (in Derby, but not that far from Nottm city centre), and am 23 and mum to three little ones.

There's a couple of Derby meet-ups on the go, but not seen a Nottm one.

Would love to meet-up too, any ideas?

Tinkerbellsmum · 03/07/2004 22:17

woodpops · 21/07/2004 10:57

Hi ya, another nott'm lass here. I'm from sunny old Arnold so from the sounds of it allyphelan we're quite close!!!

Piffleoffagus · 21/07/2004 11:15

I'm moving up to Sleaford in 4 weeks and will be 35 mins away.... if you are arranging anything after that maybe?

para · 26/07/2004 01:03

I just moved to Nottingham from London less than a year ago. I have an active 2 year old and would love some suggestions about things I could do with him in the area ( I live in Mapperley Park ). I work 3 days a week but am free every Thursday and Friday and our rota of activities is limited to Arndale Park, Tumble Town in Arnold the swimming pool close by, and shopping at the Victoria Centre. We went to White Post Farm which was very nice but a bit too far and quite pricey for a frequent activity.I would be really keen to meet up and also try out something new.

alibo · 26/07/2004 12:22

Hi there, I live in Newark, and met up a few weeks ago with Mel, BBensley, Shanequa. Would be great to organise another and meet you Notts mums !!

alibo · 26/07/2004 12:26

Piffleofagus, I have been known recently to go to shopping at the Tesco in Sleaford as ds will either sleep on way there or way back-desperate measures!!!! His teething is really bothering him at the minute!! (Plus dh likes Tesco ready meals and Morrisons in Newark is total chaos in summer!!)

Piffleoffagus · 28/07/2004 16:12

well alibo you will have to pop in and have a coffee or tea or feed your baby Gin etc before heading home! LOL
Seriously keep in touch and I would love to get straight into the swing of things when I move!
Happy to travel up to 45 mins!

Kazzabijan · 08/09/2004 12:02

Hi, I'm not new to Nottingham but I don't know any Mums at all so it can get quite lonely. I'd be up for meeting with some people. I've got a little 3 1/2 month old boy.

By the way, I'd like to take him swimming. Anyone know a place in north Nottingham with mother and baby sessions?
