Who is up for a daytime meet with kids?

Pray for a nice day and we can go to Willows Farm at London Colney. If weather is bad we'll have to re-think.

Thursday 18th August 11:30 am onwards. Bring a picnic lunch.

I'm also arranging an evening (no kids ) meet up so check this thread too.

I may be able to join you ladies for this one afterall. My friend isn't visiting earlier in the week anymore, so I'll hopefully be able to switch my day off. Will let you know for definite early next week. xx

Kayleigh · 10/08/2005 08:28

Tabs that'll be great

I've been shopping again in Morrison's and have a whole load of vouchers that admit one child free with a paying adult. If anyone wants one better arrange to meet me outside in the car park.

Tabs · 15/08/2005 17:20

I'll def be coming, but obviously no little ones to bring just yet, so won't need a voucher. Whereabouts are we meeting?

Forecast to be a glorious day, so don't forget suncream too!

Kayleigh · 15/08/2005 18:39

Forecast for rest of week is fab. How lucky are we !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kayleigh, Anorak, would love one of the vouchers.. I haven't managed to find one in my local. Ds & I are still planning on coming! Yippee, my first MN meetup in six months! Will bring a picnic lunch.

anorak · 17/08/2005 11:18

I will make sure I am waiting at the entrance between 11.15 and 11.30 for anyone who wants a voucher. I will post a description of myself in the morning when I know what I'll be wearing.

99redballoons · 17/08/2005 16:00

I think we're going to try and get there early and leave early to miss the main heat of the day (ds is very fair and I'm almost 7mo pg!). So if we get our act together we'll be there from 10:30 and stay till around 12:30. Hope that's ok. It's probably going to be another scorcher! Don't forget the sunscreen!

Tabs · 17/08/2005 16:37

I thought we were meeting at 11:30 not 10:30? I don't mind either way, but would like to know!!

Kayleigh · 17/08/2005 22:59

Will aim to get there around 11. Just depends how quickly I get myself together. Tabs if you give me a definite time will wait for you by entrance. Do you have anoraks mobile no ?

Tabs · 17/08/2005 23:13

Hi Kayleigh - yes I have Anorak's number. Don't worry about waiting for me. I'll aim for 11ish, and give Anorak a call once I'm in if I can't see any of you. xx

Kayleigh · 17/08/2005 23:32

ok, that's great - look forward to seeing you tomorrow X

Sorry Tabs, didn't mean to confuse you. I was just meaning that ds & I are going to get there earlier than the planned 11:30 as that's a bit late for us. But atleast we'll overlap with some MNers at some point in the day. I have anorak's and kayleigh's numbers so I'll ring them around 11-11:15 to try and meet up with you all.

Typically ds was up 3 times last night (too hot) and I feel shattered.. but that's not going to keep me away!

99redballoons · 18/08/2005 08:56

Found these vouchers on the web. Hopefully they'll take them (fingers crossed)

anorak · 18/08/2005 10:42

I will stick to my original plan and hang about the entrance between 11.15 and 11.30 in case anyone wants to take a voucher or two off my hands.

For anyone who's never met me before, I'm 5'2", chestnut shoulder-length hair, wearing a a dark green top and blue denim shorts. With me will be my daughter who's 13 but looks about 10 and ds aged 4.

Tabs · 18/08/2005 17:45

Thanks for a lovely day ladies. Don't know about the kids being knackered, but I definitely am!!

Hope to see you all again soon. xx

Kayleigh · 18/08/2005 18:32

It was lovely wasn't it Tabs. We were so lucky with the weather too. Ds2 is in the bath now - he managed to stay awake on the way home which was a relief as he is foul if he naps. Both boys will be in bed and hopefully asleep by 7:30. I'll probably be in mine by 8

Do like your car by the way

Hi girls, it was great to see you again. DS fell asleep as soon as we left the carpark. Quickly realised taking ds to a farm by myself was not the wisest thing at the moment! Thankfully he was very well behaved, which was a pleasant surprise! I was sooooooo tired once we got back and then had the crappest night in the world last night so still exhausted... Will definitely stick to evening meetups for a while (and Tabs maybe we can actually have a conversation then!)

It's raining this morning... sooo lucky.

Kayleigh · 19/08/2005 08:35

Morning 99redballoons. I really did feel for you yesterday. Have a very chilled day today and keep your feet up as much as you can. You can do lots of pretend games with ds where you are the patient and he is the doctor

It was lovely to see you again though - it really has been ages judging by the size of your ds. He was still a baby last time I saw him. Will arrange an evening meet-up soon. X
