Hi everyone, I'm new to Mumsnet and am hoping for some advice/guidance from you!

I am expecting my first baby (a girl) in March and have lived in Bounds Green for about 18 months. I moved to London over 10 years ago but many of my fiends have moved away now and my closest friends and family have remained in the Midlands. As such I don't have much of a support network...

I am really excited about becoming a Mum but do have pangs of anxiety that me and my babe are going to be a bit isolated! I have just passed my driving test so we are at least mobile and I'd love to meet some Mums and babies for us to become friends with.

I am starting maternity leave on February 18th (edd March 18th) and would like to join some groups before and after the baby comes.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sorry for the long post, J x

Hi Jo,

I'm not local to London but it might be worth you having a look under 'local' listings (link at top of page) for things going on in your area. Also, have a look under ante natal clubs under 'topics' as this will give you threads which you can join with other mums due at the same time as you.

Hi Jo,
I live in East Finchley and had a babygirl on 8 March. If you are in Bounds Green I assume you are fairly close to Muswell Hill? I am also looking for some groups to join, or to meet some mums that I can catch up with/have a coffee etc. If you feel like getting in touch let me know.

Erika :-)
