Where in Edinburgh are you? Have you looked on Mumsnet local? Edinburgh's site is quite good and there are loads of mums other than me who are up for meeting other MNers

Hey FairyLightsForever, what is Buckstone like- we're thinking of moving to EH10 area. I only joined this site today - not heard of if before. We (me and husband) used to do role playing - hubby has loads of Terry Pratchet books and CDs - so we are also a bit geeky..

Buckstone is really nice, lots of trees and birds in the garden We were living in Morningside, but I prefer it here, because it's just that bit further out of the city. It's also cheaper for that reason

The other thing is that EH10 is a brilliant catchment area to be in. All 3 primaries are good, as is the high school.

FairyLights - have you been to any of the meet ups from this site?

What about mother and toddler groups in EH10, are people friendly? I've not been to any mother and toddler group yet but am thinking of going soon.

I knew Morningside South Primary was supposed to be brilliant which is why we want to move there - and Boroughmuir too, what are the other 2 primaries? Brunstfield must be 1 I guess? Don't know other.
