I am feeling brave today and want to get out and meet some new people, are there any MN ladies in the Gloucester area who would like to meet up?

Hello Sazzles and Lanky (and Scottish Stalker person). Yes, lets meet up. Mon pm not so good for me but Weds and Thurs are fine. I went to Prinknash a few weeks ago and thought it might be quite good as a place to meet up (not too expensive if you want to go around the bird park bit).

Lanky - your poor DS, thats really not good is it. Poor chap.

Blooms suits me too, and yes, I can do 2:30 next Weds there. I can then go and buy a couple of nice Xmas decs for the REAL Christmas tree we're getting this year.

Thats a good point about Prinknash. Maybe we could do a meet up before Xmas. MIght be worth going when it's abit drier, the goose/peacock/chicken shit droppings make the path somewhat slippery. Funny but a bit scary with little ones, a buggy and a clumsy mare (moi).

tvaerialmagpiebin · 26/11/2009 19:12

I can't do that one, but hope to meet up another time. Agree Blooms is a lovely place. DS likes to go and play in all the sheds.....

Lanky - I'm starting to get a complex that your avoiding me .

Can you do another day?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 26/11/2009 20:05

LOL Cat
DS is at his father's on a Weds and Thurs. So although I could come by myself, I would be a miserable old childless bat. Actually next Weds I have to see my shrink anyway (crazy old bat I am).

So it's nothing personal - honest!!!!!!

In that case I'll let you off .

I could do the Monday if that's better, but would need to meet a bit earlier - say around 2. DD got ballet lessons at 4.30 so I need to get DC's fed and watered beforehand so need to be home by 3.15 really.

Triggles · 26/11/2009 23:34

Another Chelt person here, although I spend a fair amount of time in Gloucester as well, as DH's family all lives there. I have a 3yo DS and a 4month old DS and would love to meet some people locally. I have only been to one soft play place in the area and not really sure I want to go back there, as I was not horribly impressed, and they were really lax about safety stuff. I've heard good things about the soft play at the 10pin bowling place in Barnwood though.

Are you all meeting up somewhere soon and is there room for more people joining possibly?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 27/11/2009 19:27

Join the fun Triggles. Anyone from this fine county welcome, ooh arr.
Was it Dick Whittington you went to? or that fun wich smells of feet in Chelt? I have been to tenpin and the soft play is fine, it's just thelack of natural light and relentless bang bang musicfrom the bowling that puts me off.
We are trying to meetup before Christmas so keep your eye on this thread!

Ha Cat, now DS has playgroup on Monday afternoons. Your move!

Hello Triggles. It would be lovely to meet you. I have a 4yr old DD and 9mth old DS and live in Gloucester.

I think we are trying to meet up next week, looking at going to Blooms, which is a garden centre of J12 on the M5 but has a place for coffee and a little play area. Maybe next Mon or Weds afternoon.

I'm taking DD to the soft play area on Sunday for a friends party. Not been there before so glad to hear it might be OK.

PatTheHammer · 27/11/2009 19:42

Hello, I am about move and work stuff nearly killing me at the moment but just about keeping my head above water!
and how very dare you be planning a meet-up on wednesday!!! Make it thursady and I'm in!!!
I went to soft-play at tenpin week before last and it was quiet, clean and cheap.....can't ask for much more!

Be back soon.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 27/11/2009 19:47

Hello Pat. Thats not good about work. Hope it gets better soon.

I did suggest maybe Monday so Lanky can come along. We'll see what the general concensus is.

Catch you soon.

PatTheHammer · 27/11/2009 20:18

Oh, I could make monday afternoon but not till about 3ish??? Blooms sounds good, I do need to go over to the Laura Ashley bit to hunt out some photo frames for my mum actually.

Let me know.

P.s Anyone on FB??? Finding it easier to keep track of suff on there at the moment. Hopeless with MN in general as just so busy till the end of term.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/11/2009 20:31

OP posts:
Triggles · 29/11/2009 03:15

I can do almost any day, so I'm not fussed. For what it's worth, the 10th is fine with me as far as I know.
