I am feeling brave today and want to get out and meet some new people, are there any MN ladies in the Gloucester area who would like to meet up?

Hello Sazz and Pat - lovely to see you today. I've not been there before but I shall def go back and do some picking next year.

Lanky and LargeRed - sorry I didn't see you today. Hope you both had OK days and maybe we'll see you at Welly Boot land in a couple of weeks.

PatTheHammer · 08/10/2009 19:49

Hi Lanky and LGOR, no worries about today hope you can make Welly-boot land in a few weeks.

Lovely afternoon, lovely to see Cat and Sazz (who both look fab btwwell done girls!) and the DC's all had a fab time. Lovely baby-to-baby interaction from the two DS's .

biscuit-boy had a nice nap on the way home and DD was out like a light tonight after all that fresh air and slide racing with mini-sazz. Great to find a place with such nice looking pumpkins, will definitely pop back next week to grab one of those I think.

Silk, Rabbit, Swiss are all you guys still about????????? Hope you can make half-term.

SazZaVoom · 08/10/2009 19:50

Lovely to meet you too Mycat and its fab how MidiSazz and PetitPat gang up together to get ice cream play so well with each other

Despite them saying there were no raspberries, we managed to get a good half punnet and nibble on a fair fewcouple on our way round

swissmiss · 08/10/2009 20:45

Pat I was smiling about your DS this morning when I went to the depleted biscuit barrel. You really must feed that poor boy

Lanky - looked at Heron yesterday (pretty good - nice school, head showed us around. All friendly, clean, infants are separate with lovely outside area and story based teaching, which I liked and teachers seemed nice - let me know what you think if you go there too.), Upton next week, Abbeymead and Dinglewell in November. MIght also have a look at Haresfield. Was going to look at Painswick but they have 20 places, 19 siblings and 33 on the list so didn't bother.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 14/10/2009 14:33

Thanks Cat.
I live just up the road from Abbeymead so pretty much think ds will go there. I would like him to be able to walk to school, the traffic is awful round all the local schools. I know the Heron head, he is a really great bloke, very committed. DS loved it there when we went to an exhibition about this Abbey Centre they are supposed to be building. We were just doing potty training so he had a good luck at the toilets!

I suppose you are in the Upton catchment area aren't you? or the one in Matson? I don't really know much about that one but my brother went to Upton and it was very good (he had a teacher called Mrs Perfect and was in the Daily Mail when they had Ofsted!)

Good luck.

Yes Miss Sorry, this disappeared out of 'my threads I'm on' so I lost track. Also had a run of illnesses here - I had mastitis badly, DD got an ear infection and DS has been teething molars along with a cold so a bit chaotic! PLus I am frantically job hunting and trying to wrap up my current work before I finish next month

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 14/10/2009 20:03

Lanky - Yes, we're in the Upton catchment area. I'm going to sound like a snob but I don't want DD going to Moat. It's Ofsted report is not good. Lots of the kids from here (St Leonards Park) go to Upton. I've hear it is good, it's ofsted was virtually the same as Heron too (Good with a couple of Outstanding comments).

Rabbit - ooh, nasty to get mastitis, I hope your feeling better now. I'm trying to find work too but am struggling just at the moment because I can't get proper child care til January. Hope it goes well for you.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 15/10/2009 11:41

Just had a letter from surgeon cancelling eye op - grrr!
On the plus side means I can probably come to half term meet up - any advance on the day yet?

Cat don't worry I share your view of Moat.

Hi all, sorry, wont be able to make it next week. Got a couple of family things come up.

Lanky sure we'll get to meet at some point . Glad you feel the same about Moat. I'm off to see Upton St Leonards school tomorrow morning, see how that compares to Heron. Annoying about the eye op. Any news when it will be?

tvaerialmagpiebin · 19/10/2009 18:42

Have jst rung surgeon's secretary and she reckons not until after Christmas !!!! Hmm, well that is not much cp is it.

Am sure we will meet soon Cat! - good luck at Upton.

Hey all!
Sorry bust with moving house at the moment so not been on in a while.

Cat-sorry you can't make it (DS was looking forward to some biscuits).

Lanky- I think wednesday was the suggested day?? We are still free on that day so will probably be going over about lunchtime as the DC's have got a treasure hunt in the morning which should be finished by 12ish.

Any more think they can make it??? Sazzles is away I think, Swiss can you still make it with your crew?

Anyway, hope to pop back in before I lose internet connection on thursday!

PatTheHammer · 20/10/2009 17:41

Bust???? Of couse I mean busy

swissmiss · 20/10/2009 21:07

tvaerialmagpiebin · 26/10/2009 20:26

Is it still Weds this week?

OK so Pat is in the middle of moving house or at least, has no internet at the moment. Sazzles is away. Cat has family things. Looks like you and me Swissmiss are the only ones in radio contact! Pat suggested tomorrow afternoon at WellyBoot Land - whaddya reckon? weather forecast now cloudy, but 18 degrees

OP posts:
swissmiss · 28/10/2009 08:30

Lanky - I'm sorry, looks like a no-go here. DD1 has come down with a urine infection yesterday. She can't even get from lounge to toilet with out an accident atm so we're staying home. Don't really fancy dealing with repeated accidents in car or at Slimbridge.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 28/10/2009 10:57

ok.
we will have to rearrange! hope she is better soon x

No way to get in touch with Pat so sorry Pat!

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 29/10/2009 10:18

Oh dear, we're not doing very well with this meeting lark are we.

Hope everyone is well and OK (swiss hope your DD is better soon).

Perhaps we should meet one evening for a drink or something?

Restrainedrabbit · 29/10/2009 20:47

Hi Guys, I bumped into Pat in Over yesterday on a trailer in a pumpkin field She is without internet access for a week or so and they have ahad a run of bugs so she is lying low at the moment

tvaerialmagpiebin · 30/10/2009 13:06
