I am feeling brave today and want to get out and meet some new people, are there any MN ladies in the Gloucester area who would like to meet up?

Oh, sorry Lanky but eye lasering sounds fab, I am so . Happy 3rd bday to DS

I flipping hate contacts and get contact dermititis from glasses so I'm stuck with them.

Sazz- like the new name, no work till January sounds good.

Hi Swiss- did you have a good time away??

Rabbit and Cat- all the best on the job front.

26th still ok here, can do thursday afternoons in term time too.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 25/09/2009 20:12

Hi everyone. Just come back from a cheapy week in Devon (via the Citizen). V nice caravan and holiday camp in Devon.

Sazz - looking for marketing work, freelance if I can get it (part time even better), but beggars cannot be choosers. Don't really want to work til January if I can help it, giving me nearly a year off with DS, but might have to do something soon.

Lanky - good luck with the eye operation. My SIL had that done a few years ago and she was really really short sighted. Said it changed her life it was so good.

26th it is then. Wellyboot land here we come!

tvaerialmagpiebin · 25/09/2009 21:18

Thanks Cat. Am having a few wobbles but really am sick of glasses and contacts. Pat my prescription is minus 7 in both eyes so I have paid a fortune for spec lenses that are compressed otherwise would be like milk bottles and weigh a tonne. So of course ds has broken them - twice.......

Has everyone in the world except me been on some cheapy holiday park holiday? Everyone is talking about the Sun or Mail offers.

My cheapy holiday was in The Citizen, but I have indeed done the Sun holiday in the past. They're great. Nice caravan parks and so cheap! Next time I see one I will post on here to let you know.

Hello all, just to say i can't do 26th now due to change in CM days

pat and anyone else do you fancy something next Thurs pm? Outdoors good if weather holds? Maybe final PYO as last pickings i think

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 03/10/2009 11:05

Hi Sazz - I'm ok for Thursday pm. It'll be just me and DS (DD in nursery on Thursdays).

PatTheHammer · 03/10/2009 11:09

I can do next thursday too, we are free from about 1.45pm.

Anyone else up for changing the 26th to later in the week (i.e weds or something). As for purely selfish reasons we are now moving on the 22nd and I figure chaos will still reign on the monday.

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 03/10/2009 13:58

I'm OK to change from 26th (it is our wedding anniversary and you never know, I might slip into an alternate reality where DH is planning a nice surprise for me! ).

Don't mind when, apart from the Friday.

swissmiss · 03/10/2009 22:51

Can't do next Thurs, take it you mean 8th. Fine with moving 26th to later in the week, not yet made half term plans .

LargeGlassofRed · 03/10/2009 23:02

hello all, forgot about this thread, I'm in Abbeymead and currently on maternity leave so would love to join in any meet ups to keep me sane

PatTheHammer · 04/10/2009 11:12

Oh yes LGOR, please do come so we can all coo over those lovely twins.

So next thursday(8th) p.m at primrose Vale if weather permits:

Cat
Sazz
Pat
LGOR???

Half term day suggestions for welly boot land.....Tuesday or Wednesday?? What do people prefer?

LargeGlassofRed · 04/10/2009 16:28

lovely what sort of time ?

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 05/10/2009 09:29

Yup, I can do that, just wondering what to do with myself this week and remembered we said we'd meet up (I love DS but his conversation isn't up to much!).

DS has a lunch time nap and usually wakes around 2pm so I'll come along around then (I'm only in St Leonards Park off the Painswick Rd so wont take me long to get there).

Pat Re Half Term week, the Wednesday is better for me because I have my DD off nursery that day. I would take her out for another day though.

StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 21:40

DD also wakes up by 2 generally so will be about 2.15. We may need a backup plan given the weatherforecast . Maybe tenpin?

StrictlySazz · 05/10/2009 21:41

Oh, and i can either bring DD1 (2.11) or DD2 (13 months) depending on where we decide

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 06/10/2009 10:18

Tenpin suits me if the weather is pants. See you 2:15 somewhere on Thursday then.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 07/10/2009 11:07

Just bumping this up for myself.

Have definite eye appointment for 26th now - eek! so if all goes terrifically well I may be able to meet up later that week (am a total optimist). Can't do tomorrow though as ds is at his father's . Have a great time.

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 07/10/2009 14:01

Lanky - can't you come along tomorrow anyway? Be lovely to meet you and you can squeeze my DS if your getting withdrawal symptoms from yours.

tvaerialmagpiebin · 07/10/2009 14:07

Thanks Cat. Appreciate that. Will see how I feel, must have PMT or something as ds being at dad's is really getting me down this week.

OP posts:
SazZaVoom · 07/10/2009 14:12

Just seen weatherforecast and weather looks good for tomorrow . I will just bring dd1 with me and probably a thermos of tea .
Lanky - would be lovely to see you with or without Ds, but i understand if you feel a bit 'naked' without him. Hope DS is having a good one at his dads
Looking forward to meeting you MyCat

PatTheHammer · 08/10/2009 07:57

Just checking where I'm meant to be going..............

Ok, we will wrap up warm and see you at the PYO about 2.15pm.

Sorry you are feeling rough Lanky, hope you can make it.

LGOR, you guys still coming???????

SazZaVoom · 08/10/2009 08:51

See you there Pat and anyone else

We are off for a tromp round Westonbirt this morning to make the most of the sundshine

MyCatsAScarierBastardThanYours · 08/10/2009 09:53

Right, PYO it is. It'll just be me and DS. I'll be there about 2:15 - 2:30ish.

Jumpers and flasks all round (although isn't there a coffee shop there).

Lanky - Hope you feel better today and you feel up to coming, I'm only bringing DS as DD at nursery (she's lovely but she's a handful and I like nursery to knacker her out expend some of her energy so I let her have a full day take advantage of a full day off)

LargeGlassofRed · 08/10/2009 15:41

sorry all forgot ds1 was finishing early today, so had to wait in till he was home, then dash off to school for the girls, hope you all had fun will try to make the next one

tvaerialmagpiebin · 08/10/2009 17:25

I didn't feel up to it, sorry. Miss my little sidekick too much. Hope you had a nice time, it was lovely weather this afternoon.
