I'm def in will have ds1 as well as J so will need a chair for him. He is 3.5 so just a normal chair no need for a high chair.

jumpjockey · 07/02/2009 21:09

I'll try, and I think SL was keen as well - any further info about the pizza place - is it nearish to the train station?

waitinggirl · 08/02/2009 08:09

jj - i'm sure EP and Turnip will be on either later today or during the week to confirm which pizza place it is. if i am right, it isn't too far away from the station at all - prob a 5-10 min walk, so please please come down for it.

i'll put another link to this on the thread later today/early tomorrow, when most people have returned from their exciting weekends.

have a lovely sunday

Thanks for this WG: haven't had time to get to the computer in the last few days! I was thinking of Il Pappagone, if it's a weekday I don't think there's any need to book.

This doesn't tie in with my trip to the office (which should be either this week, which it won't be, or week beginning 23rd). I would like to come, though, and will try to.

Not sure if I will make yoga though - the earlier classes on Mondays and Fridays work better round DD1's school day. I would like to try and go this Friday.

might be an idea to book as it's half term. It is pretty rromy though

Veggiemummy · 12/02/2009 22:08

I'm so looking forward to it will be lovely to meet you all. Is anyone else bringing their larger LO's. Ds1 loves company.

kmp1 · 12/02/2009 23:46

I might try to come as well if I can make it - if my tumble dryer repair man comes early (asked for 1st call between 8am-9am) and if we decide to not go away on hols leaving that day! is it near to crouch End Station? If so i think it will be one train for me?

kmp1 · 13/02/2009 07:40

think I meant crouch hill?

kmp1 · 13/02/2009 08:11

actually I don't know why I thought that - I'm an hour away from either!

Directions to Il /Bar Pappagone --

Come to Finsbury Park station. Its a five min walk from there. Take the exits marked " Stroud Green, Wells Terrace" (this is really important as have so many people go in wrong direction).

You come out at a bus bit at the BACK (at the front is the Arsenal shop, Veggie). (The buses there are W3/7 - if its 19 or 4 you are at the wrong side) Walk north up Stroud Green Road - you pass a car wash almost immediately on your left hand side and various yam and wig shops (don't ask...).

Stay on left hand side of road and continue straight on through junction with Nandos on your right. You will pass Tesco on your left and Il Pappagone is about 4 doors further up on the left hand side.

Turniphead1 · 13/02/2009 08:56

KMP, generally Finsbury Pk is your best bet from south london. Its only 15 mins from Victoria on Victoria Line.(don't know how easy it is for you to get to Victoria?)

The Crouch Hill station is a bit of a nightmare. trains v infrequent and you have to change so not great with buggies etc.

kmp1 · 13/02/2009 11:02

I'm about 25 mins from Victoria (plus 20 mins walk to the station) so the whole trip would be about an hour I guess. I'll see how early the tumble dryer man comes and take it from there!

NotQuiteSoBigBird · 13/02/2009 15:29

Turnip, just back from Julie's yoga class (via a tapas bar!). Thanks so much for the recommendation, it was great and fortunately the twins were really good!

waitinggirl · 14/02/2009 20:58

OP posts:
Veggiemummy · 15/02/2009 00:13

Oh WG I meant ds1 needs a normal chair as in a booked place, not a high chair. He's a bit big for a high chair.

EffiePerine · 15/02/2009 08:12

oh, DS1 will also need a (proper) chair - forgot to add him to the list!

poisondwarf · 15/02/2009 11:48

Hiya,

Not managing to keep up with the main thread at the mo. Would love to see you all this week but I'm up North at the moment so won't be able to make it unfortunately.

Have a lovely time and promise you'll have a day off from the dieting! Hope to see you all at the next one.
