eidsvold · 27/03/2003 19:44

I am near chelmsford and wondered if there were any other mumsnetters in Essex??

Chinchilla · 27/03/2003 22:56

I'm in Colchester

Lindy · 28/03/2003 16:16

I'm in Suffolk but can travel!! Didn't we talk about a trip to Colchester zoo at some point?

Crunchie · 28/03/2003 16:50

We did, since I'm in Colchester I seem to remember suggesting it. Perhaps after Easter, when it isn't a bank holiday w/e or half term. I think that leaves the 10/11th or the 17/18th. But as I don't have school age kids I can't be sure.

I think there is about 8 others in Essex, but of course a zoo trip would be free for all who wante dto come out to sunny Essex!!

Paula1 · 28/03/2003 17:44

I'm in Broomfield just outside chelmsford

Lindy · 28/03/2003 19:28

Sounds good Crunchie - will fit in with whatever date suits the majority.

eidsvold · 29/03/2003 07:30

Is that April or May crunchie?!?! I would love to take dd to the zoo but if its april we already have something happening those dates.

OP posts:
flipflop · 29/03/2003 08:23

i'm from Brentwood and would love to meet up.

Lindy · 30/03/2003 20:54

Could it be mid-week rather than a weekend or is that not convenient for the majority?

Chinchilla · 30/03/2003 21:09

I'd like to meet too, and mid-week suits me better too.

Crunchie · 31/03/2003 09:36

I was thinking May, not April, to give people a chance to organise themselves. I would love to do mid-week, but since I work full-time, it's impossible for me. However that doesn't stop the rest of you, if that's the majority vote.

So mid-week or weekend, please post! Also shall I do a new thread 'Anyone for Colchester Zoo?'

eidsvold · 31/03/2003 09:41

mid week is fine for me rather than weekends - just depends on the day!!

Yeh for May - means me and dd might be able to come.

rainbow · 11/04/2003 14:57

I'm in Thurrock. I'm up for day at the zoo!

Chinchilla · 14/05/2003 18:42

Hi all Essex girls! Anyone still want to do the zoo meet up?

eidsvold · 15/05/2003 07:59

i do depending on the date.... other problem - dh planned a day at zoo for family but can let you know when that is...

maxnatmum · 15/05/2003 12:55

i am in bangor co down n ireland any oyher mums out there with kids under 4 with autisim if there is do you fancy coffee and a chat

Lindy · 15/05/2003 13:25

Yes, I'm still keen (although a bit nervous about actually 'meeting' Mumsnet friends!) - I can be reasonably flexible but prefer Tues/Thurs but not the end of the world if it has to be another day. I'm away second week in June ... so I'm not really that flexible am I!!

eidsvold · 15/05/2003 19:37

oh carly - moving up to our kind of neck of the woods.. I was in southend area and now live in chelmsford

OP posts:
Chinchilla · 15/05/2003 20:04

Wouldn't it be funny if we actually had seen each other around town before!!! What if we already know each other, but don't know it yet! I agree Lindy, it's scary meeting isn't it? Might be fun though, and there are only a few of us, so not too scary...

lou33 · 15/05/2003 20:25

I'm hoping to be back in Colchester at the beginning of July with my 4, so if you do one then can I come?

Chinchilla · 15/05/2003 20:50

Sounds good - as Eidsvold can't make it until June anyway, why don't we make it the first week in July, and then we'll avoid the school holidays too.

lou33 · 15/05/2003 21:58

Ooooh I am going to be in Colchester for 4th/5th July! Will be with dh too though will that be ok? Can I still come?

eidsvold · 16/05/2003 07:06

excellent - and I hope you can make it lou - would love to meet you and your lot and you can meet my dd.....that sounds good to me.

OP posts:
Crunchie · 16/05/2003 09:27

I maybe able to join in, but since I work full time it may not be possible mid-week, I'll keep you posted.

gingerbabe · 22/05/2003 14:14

Hi Have just read this section - not sure why haven't before. Anyway, I live in Leigh-on-Sea, near Southend, and would be interested in meeting up, so if you are arranging something can I come too?
