Islington, outdoors meetup, for those with toddlers who like to run around!

Keep my eye on the local meet-up threads, but unfortunately all seem to be either in coffee shops (ds wouldn't sit still long enough!) or mid-afternoon (when I have to collect dd from school).

SO....
would anyone like to meet up in a park, maybe Highbury Fields, now the weather is nicer?
I'm pretty easy when, although Friday mornings are out. Otherwise as long as I'm back to get dd at 3:15, I'm easy.
I have a gorgeous ds of 2 and 1/4

So anyone like to get together?

I have a DS who is about the same age as yours. I'd love to meet up in Highbury Fields on a Monday if you are free, as that is my only weekday I have off work. We are away next week, but please let me know if you are interested in meeting up posssibly on the 18th of April.

Hope you don't mind me asking - do any of you know of a good childminder? I am going back to work in June and am frantically lookiing for childcare - I live in Stokey and work in the West end so Islington could be a good spot for both my and dp to pick up - my dd will be 9 months in June and am looking for three days a week - any ideas, leads gratefully appreciated

Ooh, some responses! I thought no-one had any bigger little ones. Mondays are always good for me, usually its just a doing chores kind of day, so any excuse not to...! Shall I pencil the 18th into my diary.

Honeypot - Thursdays are better for me than Fridays. Not sure about this week though as the weatherman has forecast rain and sleet So much for spring weather.

janx - am aware of a couple of childminders who come to dd's school. Both very nice. Not sure about any vacancies etc but will certainly ask if I see them.

The 18th sounds good to me then too. I was thinking we could possibly meet near Oasis cafe in the park if that is ok with you. The kiddies can run around in the fenced in grass area there. Any other suggestions appreciated as well! Do you have a time preference?

Janx, sorry I don't know of any childminders as my DS attends a nursery in the area. If you'd like info on that let me know!

NettiS - any time from about 9:30 is okay with me after we've dropped dd at school, and as long as I leave by 2:30ish, I'm really very free and easy. Ds sometimes sleeps in the day, sometimes not, but he'll always go in his buggy if he's tired.

Hi! Definitely up for tomorrow. Hope the weather is as nice as it was today.
Just in case there are loads of people there with 2 year old boys, a quick description so you can recognise us.
I'm 5"6, slim, with longish wavy mid-brown hair.
Ds is blonde with big blue eyes, wearing blue and red shoes with red lights! We have a red buggy.
If we haven't made contact by 10:30 I'll ring your mobile.
