Hello

Im in Bromley and would love to meet new mums. I have a little girl who is 4m old. Whereabouts are you?

MaHumbug · 06/01/2009 20:55

There are a few mother and toddler groups which are quite lovely.

NCT bump and babies on a Tuesday morning in the Church near Boots in Bromley.

kentdee - did you have your baby in the Pruh? I saw a thread where you were really worried about having your baby there.

kentDee · 11/01/2009 22:42

hi. yes i had my dd in the pruh. I read so many horror stories on mumsnet about that hospital but it wasnt really that bad. I had an amazing midwife who stayed with me throughout. Are you local?

MaHumbug · 13/01/2009 09:57

I am local too. I'd been reading the Bromley threads and I saw yours unfold. I'm glad it all turned out okay.

kentDee · 13/01/2009 11:30

Thanks MaHumbug. How old are your dc? Have you had experience of the Pruh?

MaHumbug · 13/01/2009 17:36

my dds are 4 and 2 yo and I had them both at the PRUH - (which was fine both times for me)

elle23 · 28/01/2009 04:29

looking to meet some new mum friends as i have moved away from all other mum friends & i'm lonely, bored & slowly going insane with 3 under 4s.

kentDee · 28/01/2009 22:48

Hi Elle23. Whereabouts are you?

SE19er · 28/01/2009 23:02

There are some really good sessions at Upper Norwood Library (Waggle & Hum for under 2s, and they do other stuff for older kids too). The mums are very nice and you can get chatting before it starts and when things are winding up at the end

The Horniman Museum does a story-time on Friday morning, which I'm told is fun

There's various stay-and-play sessions at the Heshima Centre, behind Sainsburys in Crystal Palace.

And look out for one o'clock clubs in the Parks (Crystal Palace and West Norwood). You'll need to make an effort to approach people at these, but everyone I've met is very nice indeed.

I'm based primarily in Downham/Grove Park area but am not far from Sydenham/Catford...I've lived in the area a few months but haven't made much of an impact on any other mums I started going to a mother&toddler coffee morning but after 5 weeks it closed, so now I'm all alone with no friends or family nearby and 3 under4s watching cBeebies most days...I'm finding it hard to get to any groups other mums online have told me about because I don't drive and they all seem to be really far away...

elle23 · 10/05/2009 22:22

well?! where have you all gone?! NATTYTIREDNESS&EXHAUSTION what happened to making new friends? im still waiting for that coffee!

Katarina262 · 25/08/2009 17:15

Hi everyone,

I'm 28 and a first-time mum-to-be and also based in the Grove Park area. Would love to meet other mums/mums to be nearby for coffee and chats.

Hi all. I live in Bromley/Downham and just had a beautiful baby boy (10 days old today) and would love to meet up with other mums and mums to be in my area. Seems difficult to meet mums in my area...

romildavane · 12/11/2009 16:57

Anyone want to meet on a weekend? I'm in Sydenham with a two year old. Hi by the way :-)

Igglybuff · 03/03/2010 11:12

Hello just seeing if anyone is out there. Am in Beckenham and always enjoy meeting new people! Have a five month son x

HelenTerry · 14/05/2010 14:06

HI

I belong to a fantastic sining group called Viva Acappella. We're not like you're normal stuffy choir, we sing in four part harmony and we're a young and really fun group. Our songs range from Aerosmith to Queen and you don't have to be able to read music to join us as we do teach tracks for each song.

If you're interested in popping along one Thursday evening, we rehearse in Orpington, we'd love to see you.

Get in touch with me on [email protected] or call 07841 975961.

Thanks
Helen
