Anyone fancy a meetup at Eureka, in Halifax, simetime early Summer?

We are plannig on taking DD very soon, and have been looking at the web site. Thought it might make a fun meet up - maybe in early summer - if others are interested???

It is in Halifax, accessible by car nd bus - and is next to to the railway station too.

Not been for years but remember it being great.

Eureka is fab - we took our Y3's for their trip in November and it was wonderful. Would love to come with my 2 but can only do it in the school hols or on an inset day.

I have one more inset day left which is 6 June.

Don't mind a weekend but can't do 8 May or 11 June (and neither can you Hula IYSWIM ) because of birthday festivities.

All well here although DS left home today because I am always mean.....Going to see school on Thurs about the ed psych report so maybe will get some good news there (ha!)

Almost 100 boats and barges from all over the country gather for the 4th annual celebration of all that's good about our canals and inland waterways system. Entertainment throughout the weekend includes brass bands, folk dancing, jazz band, pipe band, children's entertainment. Special children's activity barge. Boat trips along the canal. Illuminated parade of boats on Saturday night. Lots of stalls selling food and drink. Competition for Best Dressed Boat, Boat in Bloom etc. Demonstration of traditional canal arts and crafts.
