You can still add your name!

Venue is here

22nd November

£20 per head

Paypal is [email protected] - when it gives you the payment types, please select "other" and then "gift" to avoid me paying your fees. If I am charged fees I will be asking for them back!

Email: [email protected] if you want to pay by cheque, bank transfer, cash or nochex and I will give you the details (Nochex will incur a fee)

That payment covers canapes and some drinks (more details about that in my next post)

List of all coming so far - if you aren't on it and you think you have paid, then yell and I will check my records!!!

Whoops - are you about at all this week to meet up and sort music???

I'm soooo looking forward to this

Piffle, all three of mine have an evil cough-thing too; I'm sick of the sound of them coughing and will be glad of a much-needed weekend away from them to be honest!

Not sure what I'll wear, but it won't be very dressy because I'll be travelling with hand-luggage only..

Still need to make a badge, can't really do anything cryptic with my crappy old name though (must come up with a more creative real mumsnetty name some day )

Piffle · 19/11/2008 21:47

I will struggle with saying sazisi after a few snifters

BecauseImWorthIt · 19/11/2008 21:50

I don't know what to do about a badge!

Don't want to pin anything on my new blouse because it's the sort of fabric where you'd forever see the hole that the pin made.

Any suggestions?!

Erm..stick L'Oreal logos on your shoes?!!

Just call me Saz

Piffle · 19/11/2008 22:04

yes can see how a long name presents badge issues.
I think a forehead tattoo is safest to be honest...

PillockOfTheCommunity · 19/11/2008 22:06

do what flame's doing and hang it round your neck instead?

BecauseImWorthIt · 19/11/2008 22:06

So if I just stood there and tossed my lustrous locks all evening that wouldn't be enough?

Magnets on the badge!

I already stressed over and worked his out as I'll be wearing a dress I couldn't bear to pin.

BecauseImWorthIt · 19/11/2008 23:58

God a tattoo is sounding easier by the minute.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 20/11/2008 00:00

I won't be doing the magnet thing though, I'll just be clenching my laminated badge between my rabid teeth.

props

Mhamai · 20/11/2008 00:03

Jeez, I've had a mental week! Two trips to a gp, two trips to A&E and wait for it...............two trips to a dental hospital!!!! The reason? A bloody whopping abscess, it was surgically drained FINALLY! on Monday, was back today for more draining and root canal treatment.

Just to say, I am deffo coming Saturday but if my face is still swollen you'll know why!

Mhamai · 20/11/2008 00:06

Eh Devil, I think that'll be me with the rabid teeth.

BecauseImWorthIt · 20/11/2008 00:06

Goodness - you have all my sympathy. I have only had root canal work once, and it was awful, awful, awful.

Mhamai · 20/11/2008 00:11

Believe it or not today was a doddle compared to the last week. I don't lie when I say I would have happily faced labour pains as to what I went through all week.

Anyhoo, have my clothes sorted, I have to queue all day tomorrow though at passport office because I put my passport in the washing machine! Doh!!!!

psychomum5 · 20/11/2008 08:14

am re-adding this to my threads......had lost it somehow

am off to get hair and nails done today...hair has got far too long so going slightly shorter, and blonder......nails will be vampish red I think (not sure how that will look with the dress, but red is my fave colour)

and I still have not done my badge.......the kiddies (bless 'em), have stolen all my printing paper for drawing on.....argh.

BecauseImWorthIt · 20/11/2008 08:17

Are you putting both your MN and your RL name on your badge?

SheikYerbouti · 20/11/2008 08:26

I just did MN name last year

SheikYerbouti · 20/11/2008 09:54

Only 2 days to go! I am quite excited now!

fillybuster · 20/11/2008 10:31

Flame - really sorry, had some internet issues at home and was off work yesterday. Went home and told dh I wanted to come on Sat night...he reminded me we'd agreed to go out on a proper 'date' together and booked a babysitter and everything ...so I definitely can't come and my dh is a bit narked as he now thinks I want to hang out with MN folks more than him..... Sorry for time wasting...I will soooo be there next year!

Piffle · 20/11/2008 10:57

omg nails and hair

I had mine done before going to oz 17th oct though so maybe some hint remaining.
Nails are dreadful on account of decorating and plastering all week and hand scrubbing vomitty carpet by the metres...
Such a glamorous life I lead huh?

Flamesparrow · 20/11/2008 11:07

we'll let you off, although for future reference both strangers and chocolate traditionally come higher in priorities than husbands

i still hate may hair with a passion, and my nails may be painted if I have time

SheikYerbouti · 20/11/2008 11:16

My nails and my hair are shit
