Moved here 3 weeks ago with dp and dd (2.6).

Would love to get to know some local mums to meet up with for a chat and a coffee - esp those with children of a similar age as we don't really know anyone yet!

We're in the Cromer area by the way

Hi I'm in North Norfolk, about 45 mins from Cromer. Have a 6 month old dd.

Hi, thanks for replying... judging from this and the other thread i started in local, North Norfolk's a little quiet!

Trying to think where would be a good place to meet up... depends on the weather, i suppose...

We are house hunting in the Sheringham/Holt area this weekend. Want to move from east London. How are you finding living in Norfolk?

Hi NormaJean,

only just saw this

how did the househunting go? Sheringham and Holt are both very popular, according to the locals. I'm also from the East end originally, by the way

Truthfully i have mixed feelings about the move. One one hand being near the sea and so close to the countryside is a dream come true. On the other hand, it's tough making friends in a totally new place, and although the locals are generally a good sort, they are known for being a bit suspicious/nosy (both extremes) of newcomers. The lack of real friendliness (what i would call a happy medium) is quite hard to deal with.

Don't let that put you off though, i'm still very glad we came here.
