Alternatively, make plans to get ever so slightly blottoed

The theory is as follows:

Squonk thinks we should meet up. I concur. It has been proosed that a small and rather well behaved raucous gathering be scheduled for sometime after Whit week. Which means we're talking June 2nd onwards

Any takers?

C'mon, it can't just be Squonk and I who are desperate for a bit of non-child entertainments

I appear to have already been counted in (can't imagine how that could happen ) but I may as well make it official.

Yep, I'm up for it.

Indith · 19/05/2008 21:37

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh!

Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!

Though not sure about the blottoed part, methinks I read somewhere about alcohol and pregnancy not mixing too well.

Anyway Squonk promised me a picnic, there was even talk of bringing cakes. So have your drink fest people but I will be in Hull from:

11th June til 15th (14th is dm's 50th though) and then 26th to 30th ish should anyone wish to do something jolly when I can escape my mother and mad dress making and wedding planning

ChipButty · 19/05/2008 21:38

I'm too shy but will be with you in spirit. Fill us in with all the details!

madmuggle · 19/05/2008 21:40

Don't be shy! 'tis illegal don'tcherkno? Gordon Brown is, as we speak, drafting up some resolutiony bolleaux about it.

OP posts:
bellavita · 19/05/2008 21:41

Surely Squonk you will be coming back on yourself to pick me up?

fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:43

shall we do it on a week that Indith is here?

ChipButty, please don't be shy. (we're all shy, that's why we talk to each other through our computers ) Please come.

INdith - I will only be drinking bucketloads if I can get dp to promise to pick me up later. (I do it for him, so it's possible)

fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:44

bellavita - I think if I go to Hull via Pocklington and Beverley, you're about ten minutes out of the way.

Easily do-able. But obviously, we should talk privately and swap addresses and stuff because I only have a vague idea of where you live and I may have got that totally wrong

bellavita · 19/05/2008 21:46

You really are close to me then?

Do you do MSN?

fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:47

yes. Hang on, it'll take me five minutes to switch it on...

madmuggle · 19/05/2008 21:48

MSN... A slippery slope to procrastination!

Speaking of which, I have a dvd to be watching while I ignore the laundry.

I shall inevitably be back anon

OP posts:
fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:48

done

fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:49

madmuggle - say hello to Gene Hunt for me

bellavita · 19/05/2008 21:50

squonk - my msn is the same as my e-mail address.

madmuggle · 19/05/2008 21:53

Sorry squonk, I'm too busy trying to catch the attention of DI Tyler

OP posts:
fryalot · 19/05/2008 21:54

MadMuggle - super, one each

Bellavita - I have added you (I think...) but it says you are off line

bellavita · 19/05/2008 21:57

is your msn same as your e-mail

madmuggle · 19/05/2008 21:58

If you look at my username, and use the word 'the' as a prefix, then contemplate the rest of my email address being at google mail and some very generic dotcommery afterwards you might be able to contact me

At which point, if you include your MN name I may consent to tell you my MSN ID

Desiderata · 19/05/2008 21:59

Aha! Good luck to your team for Saturday, girls

fryalot · 19/05/2008 22:00

desi

fryalot · 19/05/2008 22:02

oh yeah, good luck to your guys too, desi

madmuggle · 19/05/2008 22:05

Look, nobody is allowed to win, the match must continue for eternity so nobody goes up. Nobody loses either, and my local thoroughfare isn't any more clogged than usual of a matchday!

So there

OP posts:
fryalot · 19/05/2008 22:14

we shall be listening to it on Radio 5live. If it continues for eternity, I may never wee again.

I so want them to win, but I can't quite believe that they will

Desiderata · 19/05/2008 22:14

He he! I don't mind who wins, tbh.

DH is fanatical, though. It's funny how men can't remember things that happened yesterday, but can spout off, with a certain air of forensic genius, who scored what, when and how over the course of an entire century.

For what it's worth, I think you have the slightly better team.

fryalot · 19/05/2008 22:17

I think we do as well, but years and years of supporting Man City have programmed me into never taking anything for granted football wise.

Twill be excellent for whichever team wins

Desiderata · 19/05/2008 22:22

Yes it will, Squonk.

Bristol City have a habit of finishing well, though. Hull can't afford to rest on their laurels until the final whistle. It was a goal in extra time that got us to Wembley ...

May the best team win, and good luck with your meet-up.

And ChipButty ... get thee down there, girl!!
