Do people not communicate anymore

Do people just not communicate anymore? A simple text to say you can’t make it is fine. To just not turn up without an explanation is just rude.

That's really rude ,takes 30 seconds to send a text

Not turning up without telling you is unbelievably rude.

That is rude.

On the other hand I often find myself incensed by the seeming necessity for an exchange of 15 texts to arrange ‘a coffee’.

I had a similar thing recently.

This friend went on and on about us meeting up. It came to the time and after a bit of dry messages earlier I asked what they were doing.

Watching tv and keeping in from the cold. Ok then.

I normally give up after the 2nd attempt and leave it up to the other person. It seems like people want you to chase them but no thanks. If you can’t make the effort then why should I

Horribly rude. I wouldn’t bother making arrangements again

I wouldn’t care but it was them who made the plans 😂

Seems like people these days just want you to ‘chase’ them and when I was younger I would have done this but anyone that expects this of you isn’t worth your time.
