Is anyone out there in Brighton? I moved here from London without knowing anyone except my parents and brothers! I have a 9 month old girl and would love to make some friends.

Hi Emmahugs, I've just moved here from London too with an 8-month old boy. Would be great to meet up if you fancy it

Emmahugs · 10/04/2008 18:53

Hi Sleepless,

I feel your pain! Yes, lets meet up, that would be lovely. I'm away until around 23rd April. Shall I send you a message when i'm back and we can sort something out? I'm living just off Western Road at the mo so can meet anywhere central or Hove if that's good?

Great, let me know when you're back. Happy to meet anywhere. We're in Queens Park at the mo but I like it down your end so could come there or somewhere central. Look forward to it!

MABS · 12/04/2008 18:06

Why don't you come to the Brighton meet up next Sat lunchtime...we don't bite honest! Have a look at the thread in Meet Ups.

Fancy meeting up for a coffee next week Sleepless?

Hi there, coffee sounds great. How about Thursday afternoon? Any venues in mind? I'm happy to go anywhere

Emmahugs · 22/04/2008 07:54

Thursday afternoon's perfect. I'll have a think about somewhere nice to go. There is a little park towards Hove (St. Anne's Well Gardens). It's got swings etc and a little cafe (never been into the cafe so not sure what the coffee would be like!). Perhaps we could meet up there if it's a nice day?

Sounds good. Shall I see you in the cafe there at 2.30? I am tallish with a brown bob and will probably be carrying the little one in a sling. I'm sure we'll find each other eventually....!

Emmahugs · 23/04/2008 19:25

Great. I am worried it's going to rain though (forecast is heavy showers!)which won't be much fun! If it rains we could meet in Carluccio's in the Lanes or the Mad Hatter on Western Rd by Waitrose? My mobile number is 07823779684 so if it is horrid out then text or call and we can decide where to go. I have cropped brown hair and a pink pushchair!

I'm on 07905 139888. Let's text beforehand and finalise the venue. Could try here? www.sanctuarycafe.co.uk
I've heard it's good and baby friendly but haven't been.

Emmahugs · 24/04/2008 08:32

Good idea. Sanctuary Cafe is supposed to be good. I'll text you after lunch. What's your name by the way?!

Don't know if any of you fancy coming to this? It's for the Neonatal Department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The event is on Friday 23 May at 6 - 8 pm, at a large play venue, Monkey Bizness, in Lewes.

Please cat me for tickets. Just £5 for adults and free for all children, that includes nibbles for all and play for the kids!

It should be great event, I'm the joint organiser and without this hospital neither dd or ds would be alive

sleeepless · 27/04/2008 21:14

Thanks for invite, sounds good but might be too late in the day for grumpy baby... I'll see what his bedtime is nearer the time (I have no control over this!)
