anyone in Essex area ?

Hi I am new to MN and am just finding my feet. Wanted to hear if any other MNers in the Essex area and if so where are the best places for days out with the kids. Am not originally from Essex so I am finding my feet here as well. I have 2 DD, 7 and 1. If any one has some ideas would love to hear them. Thanks.

Which area of Essex are you in? Not sure about your 7yr old as mine are younger but have you tried Marsh farm near Chelmsford or Old Mcdonalds in Brentwood. Also Kidspace in Romford.

I second Kidspace and Old Mcdonalds farm.
We are also regulars at Timbuk2(Upminster) and Gambado(Basildon) which IMO are better than Kidspace.
Ds1 also likes going over to Hainault forest,where they have a small farm and a large duck pond.

It really depends where abouts you are. There are actually loads of great places round here. I'm not from Essex originally either!!! Still finding my feet, so will watch with interest!

Thankyou for your suggestions, yes I hvae tried out the farms. I still haven't got over the price of Old McDonald's!!Hainault forest sounds good tho.
