A neighbour 4 doors down has just knocked on our door and said 'are you missing a garden bench?' It seems some idiots put it on his car roof in the early hours . So it hasn't been nicked and we'll get it back tomorrow. He's said can we bolt it down or something cos he has a feeling it will happen again but we'll def get rid of it now i think.

Mme C, I have a feeling that the Deal House has a new name now - something to do with it's furniture? I'll have a look tomorrow on our way out.

It was hard justabout, I almost had to get one of those ticker things(is that what they are called) which say how old my children are plus a cutesy pic of something twee

(ducks down in case I'm rumbled and they come pelting me with tomatoes....)

Oi MmeC, I say brill all the time! And cool and wicked.

itsahardknocklife · 05/04/2008 21:12

Knickers, I just assumed I would get you on the way

Phoenix, if you still don't want the bench and it is useable, I could offer it a loving home

yeppydoodles and I shall resist the urge to tell the hospital staff that we are lesbians having a kid together

itsahardknocklife · 05/04/2008 21:24

We bought DS an Iggle Piggle toy in Tesco today, the soft bedtime one. He threw it at the dog. How ungrateful is that? I think he prefers Makka Pakka...

Phoenix · 05/04/2008 21:31

Ds has got that Iggle Piggle (as well as the talking one and the talking/dancing one ) and the Upsy Daisy. I bought him those Iggle Piggle trainers today Itsa

When we first mentioned getting rid of the bench my dad said they'd have it but we never got round to taking it. I'll ask him if they still want it first Itsa.

Cool, thanks.

I really wanted to get DS some Peppa Pig toys too, as DS loves the TV show, but DH said no. Meany

And bloody Tesco. We bought a DVD player from them a couple of months ago and used it once. Now it won't work and won't even turn on. Tesco wouldn't exchange it, the sods, without the receipt. I got a bit cross and they said they'd accept a bank statement showing a payment to Tesco. Good job we shop there a lot and DH has paid with his debit card - any payment over the amount of the DVD player will work. Ridiculous.

Itsa the bench is quite knackered btw, we've had it about 5 year and never put any wood treatment stuff on it and the dog uses it as a wee post but if my parents don't want it you are welcome to it

No, DH looked. I suggested the fuse because we had a power cut a while ago. Mind you, he isn't an electrical genius! It didn't work anyway - we couldn't get it to record.
Ta Phoenix.

itsahardknocklife · 06/04/2008 12:19

Justabout, thanks for the invite. We would love to come to the Christening. Where is it?

MmeCellophane · 06/04/2008 14:52

Thanks for the kind invitation, JA, but we are hoping to go away as it's our anniversary that weekend.

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 16:20

Thank you for the invite JA.

Sorry Itsa my dad's gonna have the bench.

Dh has gone to the pub to watch the Barnsley match. I'm pissed off with him for it cos he's been in bed til 1pm, cos he's on nights, then got in the bath got ready etc. hardly spent any time with ds, he left here to go to the pub at 3 and is going straight to work from there after the match so ds isn't gonna see him til tomorrow morning and it won't be for long then cos he'll want to get some sleep I wouldn't mind but he doesn't drink and we've got Sky Sports at home

itsahardknocklife · 06/04/2008 16:39

No probs Phoenix - at least your dad won't put it on top of a neighbour's car. Or will he???

Grrr at your DH. I just don't get the obsession with sport.

Hey, it's snowing again! Really hard!

Phoenix · 06/04/2008 17:05

And another thing i've just realised - i've got to take the dog for a walk in this weather BLOODY DH!!!!! I love snow but its not settling yet.

OP posts:
itsahardknocklife · 06/04/2008 17:26
