Wow no posts all day

So who is going to Leapfrogs on Thursday?

Ds has just fallen down the 1st 6 steps onto the tiled kitchen floor. He was just going to bed but he's got a little lump on the side of his head so he's staying up a while longer now.

Hellooo is anybody there?

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 19:47

Oooh Phoenix, just seen your post, blimey - that must have been a shock... hope he's ok.

fatzak · 09/03/2008 19:54

Evening everyone Oh my, you'll not believe what I have just done - bought something from a TV shopping channel I haven't even ever watched one before, but flicking through and I saw them flogging some sonic electric toothbrushes and thought oooh I need one of those and they're cheap!!
Is this the slippery slope to a TV shopping addiction

Phoenix · 09/03/2008 20:03

yes fatzak, we went through a faze of buying from tv before ds was born, stupid things we mostly didn't even need. We don't really watch them anymore though, only if there's nowt better on tv and buy occasionally but not for ages.

Ds has gone to bed now i think he's fine after a long cuddle .

My holiday plans have gone tits up, if anyone is free Tuesday night, come over to mine and commiserate!

T.v. shopping... our neighbours are on those channels Fatzak. They have infultrated your mind.

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 20:29

infiltrated, infIltrated...

Wilkie · 09/03/2008 20:34

Hello all

Heppy - not long to go then I will gladly come to yours on a Tues night to commiserate

Phoenix - hope DS is OK. My DS fell down the stairs at my sisters yesterday - not sure how far cos we were in the kitchen then we heard a bang and he was crying at the bottom of the stairs BIL had left the stairgate open!

Well, decision has been made (I think). Have decided to go with nursery rather than CM - even though it is bloody expensive and gonna skint us - hope we have made the right decision. Please tell me your postive nursery stories...!!

We move a week on Thurs!! Aghhhh!!!

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 20:47

Hi Wilkie

Good luck with the move, you sent me an email about you moving but it didn't have an attachment to the house! Two of my sons were at nursery from 2 1/2 and they loved it. Yours will be fine, I'm sure.

fatzak · 09/03/2008 20:48

Well I hope that the man who was selling the toothbrushes is not our neighbour Heppy as he was just wrong wrong wrong
May well come and commiserate on Tuesday. You will be sick of me and my fuddled mind though - I think my head will explode with my indecisions and plans for the future!!

fatzak · 09/03/2008 20:50

Missed that post Wilkie. Your DS will be fine at nursery - both mine have been (DS1 since he was just short of 6 months - can't believe I had to do that )

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 21:03

Yep Fatzak, same time, same place? Our neighbour is bald... is it him?

itsahardknocklife · 09/03/2008 21:07

oh I used to be addicted to those channels. Is your neighbour a bit camp?

fatzak · 09/03/2008 21:21

Oh this guy was much older than I imagine our neighbour to be!!
Will text you Heppy about Tuesday.

hiccymapops · 09/03/2008 21:23

Evening everyone

Phoenix i hope your DS is okay, there must be something in the air this weekend. Ben ran into a doorframe last night and got a bump on one side of his head, then tonight my DH was opening the door and Ben ran into the corner of it and got a bump on the other side! At this rate Childline may have to be called!

We took him for his first haircut yesterday I was terrified! Mark even threatened to stay in the car because i was driving him mad! Charming! It went better than i thought, he just sat on Marks knee eating crisps, and wasn't even bothered And he's kept his curls, so i didn't have to kill her

Hope everyone's okay

itsahardknocklife · 09/03/2008 21:25

Hiccy I was thinking about the haircut today and told DH and he said 'oh no, those lovely curls!', so I am glad they are still there!
My Ds is always falling over and always has a bruised forehead. I dread to think what the childminder thinks we do to him. Today he also has a red cheek where he was waving a toy and whacked himself. No sense, no feeling!!

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 21:26

He is a bit camp yes, during panto season he was stood in my kitchen with full mascara from the previous nights performance (obviously goes to bed fully made-up, dirty fecker)most disconcerting, he was better made up than I but he lives with his gf so is all man.

HeppyChick · 09/03/2008 21:28

Oh and he uses eyelash curlers.

Heppy ponders if gf is decoy...

MmeCellophane · 09/03/2008 21:30

Evening! Poor little Phoenix. Just as he was going to bed, huh? Great timing . It's bad enough, without worrying about concussion, isn't it?!

Well, I'm joining the club; DS2 has a bruise on his eye, courtesy of DS1 during their "silly half-hour".

So, are we all ready for this wind that's a-coming?

Phoenix · 09/03/2008 21:32

Lewis had his hair cut yesterday too but its far from his first, its about the 10th . Glad he still has his lovely curls

It's eerily quiet here, is it the 'lull before the storm'?
