Hi

I am a first time mum currently living in London with my hubbie and 8 month old daughter. We are moving to Hitchin soon (hopefully at the end of March) and I was just wondering if there are any Hitchin based mums on here who fancy chatting and meeting up when I get there!

Thanks

Pip

I am in Stevenage, so not far at all. I have a 7.5 month boy. Would love to meet up?

Hey Claire

Thanks for responding. Would love to meet up when we finally get there.

Do you go into Hitchin much for baby classes etc?

Pip

No, I will be honest and say i don't really go into Hitchin too much, unless its for a little wander around the town. I am fairly new to Stevenage, and have spent my time getting to know some friends here in baby groups. I go to a great Rhyme time at Stevenage Library, its free and there are a small group of us that go for coffee afterwards, you are welcome to join us when you finally move.

Hitchin is lovely!! If onyl we could have afforded to live there!! I have been told the swimming pool is lovely and they do a great Baby group on a Friday there, but haven't got me bum up there yet!!

My e-mail is [email protected] if you want to get in touch!

I'm in Hitchin too. Mine are a bit older than yours (four and five), though. You've picked a great place to live with a baby as there are so many baby groups going on. Loads of mother and toddler groups, baby swimming, baby rhyme time at the library, several music groups, Sing & Sign, baby massage. You name it, it's going on in Hitchin! A good place to start is the NCT Bumps & Babes group. It's a fairly small group so not too daunting and you will get to hear what other groups there are and which are the best, then you can decide which ones to try out (you don't have to be an NCT member to go along). Email them at [email protected] to find out when the group meets. I also used to go to a great mum and toddler group at Christchurch on Bedford Road. Again, you don't need to be a church member to go. Do you now whereabouts you'll be living? I might be able to tell you which groups meet near you.

Hey MummyDoIt!

Sounds great. I will be living on Woolgrove Road near the crossroads for Cambridge Road (I think???).
