EALING CHRISTMAS DRINKIES

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 03/12/2004 21:30

Thought I'd start a separate thread just for the christmas drinkies in Ealing...

Looks like we're looking at week commencing 13th December 2004 and maybe going to Mama Amalfi if food is required. I'll try to get a menu of the this weekend or early next week and also check availability if I can get an idea on how many people are wanting to come.

If you only want to meet up to get utterly trollied, that's fine by me too and I'm sure we can just crash into a venue

Who's up for it and for what and when

I can do every evening in that week...

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 06/12/2004 12:30

I'm not that organised at the moment Sad. DD and DS both coughing their lungs out so everything's a bit on the back burner.

Anyhow, if I could get an idea how many people would be interested at least that way I've got a number to work with Smile

Too late for the Mortlake but Ealing bash yep not free Friday or Sunday this week

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 07/12/2004 13:05

How about
Friday 17th December
and we just decent on a wine bar in Ealing somewhere, as i doubt we'll be able to get a sit down dinner booked this late and/or short notice.

Won't have time to phone around much as ds is not well again... and I hate my GPs surgery, but that's another threat I'm going to put up should ds decide to sleep a little...

I'm sorry I won't be able to make it. Am not feeling especially festive at the moment as my aunt died last night. Hope to meet some more of you in the new year.

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 07/12/2004 20:42

JANE313, i am so sorry to hear your news and I totally understand how you feel, my grandpa died on friday. I am currently in denial about it, I don't think the news has sunk in. Take care and pass on my condolences to your family.

Mrsbigd - friday 17th should be fine, am happy to go for a drink and perhaps noodles?

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 08/12/2004 08:16

Jane, sorry to hear your news. My condolences, what a crap time of year for bad news Sad

Good on you big drums for organising this. I would have loved to come along and meet you all, but as my little bundle is still not here (already a week late) I will have to give it a miss. Really like the idea of just meeting in a pub though, if this one works out maybe we could do something similar in January/Feb?

yingers74 · 08/12/2004 21:57

slink, very kind of you, there is a bus stop just up the street that goes to EB so I should be okay Smile.

yuleicorn · 08/12/2004 22:00

I'm ok here too slink (thanks)... but getting home in a d+d state may be another matter Wink

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 09/12/2004 11:34

yuleicorn - so we're planning on getting drunk and disorderly are we Grin. Well Slink can stirr us to the right busstops and off we go Grin

Any preferred hide outs to go to? Haven't really been for drinkies in EB for ages. All Bar one is usually overcroweded and overpriced. Then there's that place that used to be Yates and of course the odd pub

sorry to hijack your thread - but just to say that there is still space for anyone who fancies a knees up on Saturday in SW14 - only about twenty minutes drive from you lot.

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 10/12/2004 20:09

Have we meet up place and time??? never been for drinks in EB only Hounslow. So can't suggest anything?? We need to meet up well lit place (dh says)then all go charging into a pub...me thinks

MrsBigDrumsADrumming · 12/12/2004 12:24

Slink - Well best lit place is either in front of EB station ... lots of people also so dh's criteria should be fullfilled :)

No time has been confirmed yet as I've been a bit disorganised of late...

How about 19:00 or 20:00?

OP posts:
yingers74 · 12/12/2004 20:21

7.30pm?

Slink · 12/12/2004 20:33
