who wants to meet up for dd's 4th birthday?
Poor lil disabled babe with no friends etc etc
How's that for guilt-tripping

when is it.

WOuld love to come.

At mo can only be provisional yes as I may have chesty bug (asthma gone downhill v.sudden - not sure whether reaction or bug yet ).

Can't believe she's so old! I forget how much older than ds she is.

Are they supposed to have friends at this age? Ds doesn't have any - I keep telling myself that is fine. He claims no other kids go to pre-school

needmorecoffee · 14/01/2008 20:31

she positively ancient. She doesn't have any real friends, just kids she goes to school with. Doubt she remembers their names. Anyway, if I invited her 5 classmates it would be wheelchair gridlock in my narrow hall!
My older 3 also claimed to be alone at school for some time, and do nothing all day. DD, on the other hands, indicates 'yes' to every question.
'Was there a woolly mammoth at acshool today?'
flailing hand onto the 'yes' symbol. ho hum.
But I'm thinking early March. not anytime soon
Was considering a meet-up when I get my motability pollutemobile car

The crucial question... would there be cake?

ArmadilloDaMan · 14/01/2008 20:43

What kinda car you going to get?

March sounds good.

needmorecoffee · 15/01/2008 14:18

There will be cake
We're getting a Kangoo that has a ramp at the back so dd stays in her wheelchair and is ramped in and slotted between the two rear seats. Its gota 1.2 engine so hopefully wont eat petrol as I've just seen the prices! Do feel rather guilty though

That sounds good.

1.2 is quite small (tiny old lady cars are usually around that) - mines 1.0 and costs about £30 to fill a tank. Lasts us a fortnight, but may last you longer.

Some people need cars, you're one of them.

MaeWest · 16/01/2008 17:25

Sounds good, we'd love to come.

And don't feel guilty about the car, the Armadillo speaks truth...

needmorecoffee · 16/01/2008 18:08

yay, 2 friends. I'm think wed march 12th. And if you don't come I'll sulk
