Happy New Year and welcome back to Work and the City!

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Thought that another City lunch might be in order to raise our spirits during this rather flat month. Location and date up for grabs so vote now....

Hope to see you all (and maybe some new faces) very soon.

Will try and come along - haven't been to one for years!

Mind you I only work Monday - Wednesday.

Will keep a look out and see if I remember any of the oldies who used to attend these in Pizza Pomadora.

One of my happiest memories is Anorak turning up to surprise me - maybe I will surprise her with a knock on the door of her lovely new sunny home one day!

Kewcumber · 09/01/2008 16:33

Was about to start a thread inviting people to lunch in my new area (Farringdon...)

I need cheap though - am skint after Xmas - either a cafe or fast food-y place like Fresh Italy nr St Pauls.

Squiffy · 09/01/2008 17:01

Am definately up for a meetup. I can fit in with most dates if I have enough notice (before crying off at last minute because of work crisis, obviously)...

Paddlechick666 · 09/01/2008 18:04

I'd be up for this. I am usually only in the city Tues & Thurs these days tho. Altho I can make arrangements for a Mon & Weds if you tempt me sufficiently!

ps: echo Kew in that cheap = do-able!

Novembergirl · 09/01/2008 23:03

OK, so how about a Tuesday lunchtime at the St Paul's branches of either Fresh Italy or Apostrophe?

Will have to check my diary at work tomorrow but in the meantime, do let me know if there are Tuesdays anyone cannot make this month.

deffo can;t make last tuesday as its my board meeting but will check diary tomorrow.

RoRoMommy · 10/01/2008 09:56

Hello all! I would definitely be interested as I am working near St. Paul. Tuesday and Thursdays are fine, except next Thursday as we are off to NYC for the weekend.

Paddlechick666 · 10/01/2008 10:30

I can only do 29th Jan

all the other Tues/Thurs before then have me running all over the city for various meetings.

[trying to make myself sound important]

Kewcumber · 10/01/2008 14:33

I could possibly do an ealry lunch (say 12.30) leaving me time to get back and go to board meeting (stressing board meeting to make me sound even more important than Paddle)

Novembergirl · 10/01/2008 14:34

Shall we say Tuesday 29th January? If this is not convenient, then perhaps we should look at early February.

RoRoMummy, hope you have a great weekend in NYC

Thanks Novembergirl!

29 January works for me. It will be great to see you again, Kewcumber...but probably no Ronan this time around [blushes at feeling quite relieved about uninterrupted lunch with adults]

I will try and schlep in from CW, just because you are all such nice people (those I've met, anyway). But can't promise not to be hijacked by work between now and then, given the extra hour of commuting involved!

legalalien · 10/01/2008 15:20

hijack - jura are you coming to dinner on 18th?

dino
could you email me your new email address, so I can update my files

Kewcumber · 10/01/2008 16:38

board meeting switched so no pressure about time from me now...

Shall we agree on Fresh Italy on Ludgate hill - or is that too cheap and cheerful? If anyone has a cafe'ish suggestion in the area I'd happily follow suite being a newbie to the area.

I think there are more tables downstairs.

PAddle you could meet me in work if you like and we can walk over together.

Paddlechick666 · 11/01/2008 07:45

sounds good to me.

ooh a city lunch! i feel all corporate now

Can I come too, pretty please???
Where do I sign up???

Novembergirl · 17/01/2008 11:09

To recap, it's lunch at Fresh Italy, Ludgate Hill on Tuesday 29th January at, say 12.45 (that way we should get to bag a table and it will not be too late for Jura to join us after her meeting).

If you are able to join us (Dino and Legalalien, hope you will be able to make it), please could you confirm...that way we can try to save enough seats (don't think you can book).

Starfish2, you are most welcome...no need to sign up...just come along on the day (or let me know if you cannot make it).
