Hi Crooks!

Were you thinking a day time with dcs or an evening without dcs? (I'm still bf so an evening without dd could be tricky for me)

It'd be lovely to see everyone

MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 08/12/2007 21:27

I think a day time meet is best then you can make it! [fmsile]

How are you?

OP posts:
MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 08/12/2007 21:27

rather!

Hiya

Not bad thanks. How are you and that lovely boy of yours?

Have you any preferred dates? Before Christmas the only tricky days for me (other than Saturdays) are 13th and 17th December.

Any preferred places? I'll put a suggestion of Castaways into the mix since it is indoors and will keep the LOs occupied (whilst there also is a cafe there with - I would imagine - cake! ) Am open to other suggestions too though. I don't know if you had something more obviously "festive" in mind?

Any other Bristolions out there? (otherwise it might be a small and select meet up with just us Crooks )

DixiePixie · 12/12/2007 13:35

Actually, there must be something a bit more Christmassy we can do, that wasn't a great suggestion I made was it? - I'm just drawing a blank. Any thoughts Crooks?

And other Bristolians - where are you?!

MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 12/12/2007 20:57

Yes where are all the other Bristol lot!!! I'll bump this and see if any are lurking out there!

Where is Castaways?? Or if it ends up just being us two, you are welcome over to my place - I should imagine your DD and my DS would play fine together

DixiePixie · 12/12/2007 21:22

Castaways is a soft play area in Kingswood.(Very local to me, which is partly why I thought of it!)

MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 15/12/2007 20:21

Where is everyone??!!!

OP posts:
DixiePixie · 15/12/2007 21:07

Maybe everyone is being distracted by RL!!!

Guess we need to keep bumping

DD has a bit of a cold at the moment and conjunctivitis, so I'm keeping her away from social things for a few days - but hopefully it will all soon clear up!

Desiderata · 15/12/2007 21:10

I'm here ...

Mwha ha ha ha ha!

BoysAreLikeReindeer · 15/12/2007 21:12

The City Farm at St Werburghs has a very nice organic cafe alongside, with a super outdoor play area. Wrap up warm of course.

Bit too far for me to join you (I am the other side of the estuary)

DixiePixie · 16/12/2007 16:58

Missed you posting straight back Desi - - wasn't ignoring you, honest!!!

Fancy joining Crooks and I for a meet up at some point soonish? (dd's eyes are looking lots better today!)

Thanks for the suggesiton BALR! Shame you can't join us!

MaeWestYeMerryGentlemen · 16/12/2007 17:05

Hey, I'm around

Are we looking at next week? (although I can now do evenings due to the exciting innovation of DS going to bed with a cup of cow juice occasionally)

DixiePixie · 16/12/2007 17:14

Hi Mae!

I'm yet to persuade DD of the joys of cow juice! She seems to think that anything in a cup that isn't water is just plain wierd!

I can do next week apart from tomorrow. DD has had conjunctivitis, but the eye drops appear to be working so I think she should have shaken it off in the next couple of days. The only thing is she does still have a cold, (fine in terms of energy levels etc, just a very runny nose!!) so it might be everyone would prefer me to keep her away (I would understand). Not sure how etiquette goes in terms of winter meet ups with colds?

MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 16/12/2007 19:52

I can do Thursday pm or Friday am....DS has a cold atm as well, but will be all cleared up by then (hopefully!). I think its that time of year where kids are in a semi permanent state of snot! DS has a habit of sneezing vast quantities just as I'm eating my brekkie.....

PS

Mae - I can wrap up your tupperware and present it as a Xmas gift!!!!

OP posts:
ArmadilloDaMan · 16/12/2007 19:54

MrsClausinJimmyChoos · 16/12/2007 19:56

Can't go on Thur eve though as DH has his works Xmas do but am free Friday eve.....I have no life.....

OP posts:
MaeWestYeMerryGentlemen · 16/12/2007 19:57

Friday better for me as I am working on Thursday.

Armadillo - would deffo be up for that. Meant to say, how is job stuff working out now?

MaeWestYeMerryGentlemen · 16/12/2007 19:57

Have a wonderful image of you on a podium now Crookshanks

ArmadilloDaMan · 16/12/2007 20:04

fri would be good for me - maybe a meal?

Clubbing def ain't my thing (nor anyone around me once they've seen my dancing )

Job good - but can be very stressful. At least the people I am working with are really nice, which makes all the diff.
