Ok, Hallgerda what were those trains you were talking about and who wants to go?

I think the best one's probably the 19.19 from Streatham -

Depart: 19:19 Streatham
Arrive: 19:49 Farringdon
Calling Points: 19:23 Tulse Hill
19:26 Herne Hill
19:30 Loughborough Junction
19:35 Elephant & Castle
19:43 London Blackfriars
19:45 City Thameslink

The train before is at 19.03 (subtract 16 minutes or so from all of the above times), and the one after is the 19.33 (add 14 minutes or so to all of the above times).

I think we should be able to find the venue in 11 minutes. serenity, I'd be happy to meet you and anyone else starting from Streatham on the platform. legalalien is joining us at Tulse Hill iirc - shall we agree to travel in the second carriage?

ELR - am I right in thinking you're coming from further out? If so, perhaps the earlier stops on the train may be useful -

Depart: 18:04 Sutton (Surrey)
18:07 Carshalton
18:09 Hackbridge
18:12 Mitcham Junction

If you're coming from Croydon, maybe Tulse Hill would be a good place to join us?

All sounds good to me.

Marina · 27/11/2007 09:33

I think you should take a leaf out of those students on the Metropolitan line and set yourselves up with a cocktail party and canapes in one of the carriages
Have fun Thameslink could do with livening up

serenity · 27/11/2007 14:12

We'll be there just after you Sleepless, but happy to meet at Farringdon - I don't know the station though, so we'll have to work out where to find you!

my email is [email protected]

thank you!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/11/2007 21:42

Bah - you're coming the wrong way on Thameslink for me! I'll be doing down, whilst you're all coming up. Ah well, see you all there!

serenity · 27/11/2007 23:40

Have emailed you

Hallgerda · 28/11/2007 08:14

ELR, if you catch the 19.07 from Thornton Heath (destination London Bridge), and change at Tulse Hill to the Thameslink, you'll be on our train. You have 3 minutes to make the change - you'll come in on Platform 3 and you need to get to Platform 1, via bridge or underpass. We'll be in the second carriage from the front.

(I don't know Farringdon as well as I know Tulse Hill, but I see modern technology is being applied to that problem).

Hallgerda · 28/11/2007 08:14

can'tsleepwon'tsleep - dividedself is going the same way as you.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/11/2007 08:40

Thanks Hallgerda. I did mention to her a while ago that princessmel and I were going from/via her station, but she didn't seem interested.

serenity · 28/11/2007 15:10

How were people planning on getting home? The last Thameslink back leaves at 2310 which may or may not be too early (depends on the evening I suppose) The tube runs later, but I know not everyone is comfortable with using tubes and buses late at night. I think the latest I'd leave would be 12ish (circle, then victoria line to brixton, then whatever bus comes first )
