What are you wearing to the London Christmas meet-up?

I'm thinking jeans and some kind of a top which I do not yet own... but then some mentioned dress... and I got to thinking, are people dressing up like a cocktail dress.

I know I know, I'm sure I have something more important to be doing. But my job is pissing me off so I'm avoiding it (what else is new?).

So, let's talk about what we are all wearing to the Chrismas meet-up.

Not this, that's for sure...

ChippyMinton · 19/11/2007 21:07

nor this

Havn't really thought - am hoping to get my first pay cheque in six years before then so i can go shopping with my own money

normabutty · 19/11/2007 21:14

My dress is on my profile.

ChippyMinton · 19/11/2007 21:19

can't see your profile NB

Pinkchampagne · 19/11/2007 21:23

I was wondering what people were wearing too.
I was planning to probably wear trousers & a nice top, but are most others wearing posh dresses?

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 19/11/2007 21:25

Nice top, crop trousers, nice boots (boots courtesy of MN competition )

normabutty · 19/11/2007 21:30

Is it there now?

Hallgerda · 20/11/2007 09:10

Ah - so you're not flouncing then, as threatened on the other thread, SHPHH? You have to wear a skirt for that. Congratulations on the boots.

Being entirely serious now... I'll probably pop out to Croydon in search of The Perfect Dress, fail (as usual) to find it then pick up a pair of trousers and a top without holes from the bottom of the wardrobe.

Bluestocking · 20/11/2007 09:19

I thought I might wear one of these for some festive sparkle.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 20/11/2007 10:18

Of course not Hallgerda.. .. wild horses wouldn't keep me away!

ChippyMinton · 20/11/2007 15:53

for one horrible moment i thought you meant the camel-trekking number normabutty!! Your dress looks lovely

Slubberdegullion · 20/11/2007 16:04

I have a new (green) dress

I have new (killer) heels

I have new weirdy stick on bra thing as my sister told me I had to wear a bra under said dress.

I have new tights that you can wear with peep toe shoes (this is a whole new world for me).

I have new green glittery eye liner that makes my eyes sting and water when I put it on (not sure this is meant to happen).

Pants, bag and coat are not new.

There you go, that is what I am wearing.

ChippyMinton · 20/11/2007 16:27

Eek Slubbers - I may have to put a little more thought into my outfit if I am to be a worthy companion

Slubberdegullion · 20/11/2007 16:32

Chippy I'm sure you would look the height of suave loveliness even in a potato sack

That is my new festive season outfit. I will be rolling it out several times, the the mn party will be its debut .

(It's just a dress and shoes, nothing to write home about)

GloriaInEleusis · 20/11/2007 16:36

ELR · 21/11/2007 09:19

SquiffyonSnowballs · 21/11/2007 09:31

I will be seeking out that little balck tardis which I don't think I own - the one that looks like a size 10 on the outside but miraculously hides a size 18 figure within.

GloriaInEleusis · 21/11/2007 10:36

Right, where can I get one of those? Can I also get a pair of tardis tights?

I need to find something nice to suit my large frame. I only seem to have black punkish clothes, but that's who I am. I guess you aren't easily shocked though and someone said that it wasn't a posh venue. I won't wear a swearing t-shirt though, I don't suppose that would be very good, I'll try to plump for something a little tamer.
