Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

Haven't been on here for 3 wks and there's nothing remotely Devonish going on

Lol! It's taken me 6 months to come to the same conclusion! I don't think there's a single MNer near me...

Fennel · 07/11/2007 15:05

no, not dead. I am here! but ok have not been posting on the Devon threads for a while.

we need a meet up, obviously. I'd be keen, but don't want to be too keen or I'll end up organising it...

Neverenough · 07/11/2007 15:05

It's such a large county......

numptysmummy · 07/11/2007 15:05

There are plenty about but never on here at the same time. Where are you?

OP posts:
Neverenough · 07/11/2007 15:06

....and it takes so flipping long to get anywhere....

Walnutshell · 07/11/2007 15:06

I think SW-ers have a more laid back approach to life...

numptysmummy · 07/11/2007 15:06

Lol at fennel! Is Indiasmum o.k / still about? Must email her.

Any meet-up needs to be: exceptionally child-friendly and within eacy reach of public transport. That kinda narrow it down a bit

numptysmummy · 07/11/2007 15:07

Neverenough - depends where you start and where you're going

OP posts:
Fennel · 07/11/2007 15:18

Or there's the child-free evening option... If people have babysitters available. But that would be harder if people were coming from all over Devon.

(note to self, get off thread now or you'll be volunteering to arrange it)

Walnutshell · 07/11/2007 15:42

Note to Fennel: you know you want to...

Neverenough · 07/11/2007 18:27

...well I wouldn't start from here numptysmummy.....

Fennel · 07/11/2007 19:06

lol, numptysmummy, now you have to give us a clue about where you live. it can't be round here, I live in a hive of bustling activity

Fennel · 07/11/2007 19:07

sorry, I mean Neverenough.

someone with a long name beginning with N anyway....

yeahinaminute · 07/11/2007 19:13

Well I'm not a Devonian - but I do happen to visit fairly often - So if anyone is in, around or near the Provi or Pigs Nose in East Prawle between 28.12.07 and 4.1.08 - I'll be propping the bars up !!

Neverenough · 07/11/2007 21:54

Hi Fennel. I live in the South Hams. Lots of tiny lanes.!

sighkotika · 08/11/2007 09:54

i'd love a devon meet up, but am also pants at organising anything lol

Fennel · 08/11/2007 11:26

OK I will start off the plans but I am not taking any responsibility for if/when it gets changed/goes wrong etc.

Type of meet-up
a) daytime weekday meet up with children (which I probably can't do but other people can)

b) weekend daytime meet up with children.

c) evening out. without children.

Location
???
Exeter area
Plymouth area
Or somewhere more central if people are living in far-flung parts of Devon - I don't know. Totnes, Crediton, Okehampton?

RosaTransylvania · 13/11/2007 11:04

I am in North Devon. All my children are in school now (how did that happen?). I couldn't do a Plymouth meet-up but would be interested in an Exeter one.

laura032004 · 26/11/2007 11:50

I'm in central-ish Plymouth

The 'local' page for Devon is a bit empty - if you know of anything worth a visit in your area, could you add a link here
