I can do the dark haired one, if Bobbins will do the Blonde one!!!

Don't forget the handbags, black tights and white stillettos.

Just thought about this today actually and wondered if I should dress in suitably black and witchy wear! I do usually wear black anyway as it's supposed to be slimming (yeah, right) so probably will for this. As long as I don't look provincial I'll be happy (been living out of London for a while now ) Will think on it and let you know.

me too, not going back to the 80's ever. I fall over in bare feet, never mind stillettos! I once walked round London for a day in 3½ inch heels - ouch.

I am polishing my boob tube, leg warmers and spandex trousers as I write.

ks - I love 80's music, just not the clothes.

Favourite 80's songs/singers, here we go;

Peter Cetera - Glory of Love
Fine Young Cannibals - Suspicious minds
Go West - We close our eyes
Style Council - Walls come tumbling down
INXS
Deacon Blue
Spandau Ballet
OMD
Culture Club
Wham
Paul Young

Just been through my singles collection - not a very big one, and there are some in the collection that I will not admit to owning!

What about your favourites then ks?

Going to get the albums out now - see if I can find some more.

Very early 80's music was fab - The Specials, Madness, The Beat, The Jam - still listen to all four.

Ailsa · 02/10/2002 22:49

I forgot about those ones Willow2 - strange really. It wasn't that long ago that I bought some SKA compilation CD's.

KS - I'm not really that keen on that one either - Kate Bush wasn't it? The only lyrics I can remember from that one are 'running up that hill' and 'no problem'.

i was just going to dress casual...a skirt & blouse or trousers & blouse.....i sound very boring compared to wot else is being suggested. Loved 80's music though!!

Bobbins · 03/10/2002 14:12

ks...I can do the blonde one...shall refer back to my old, saved copies of Look In and Just Seventeen for some fashion advice

Don't worry just being facetious back...you got me to post! I've been feeling crap trying to get used to my government drugs (really felt awful and agitated for a few days)!

I think I shall don a nice pashmina over my Karen Millen...joking again. Its likely to just be smart cas, smart skirt with scruffy denim probly, then you have the best of both worlds.
