Hi everyone,

I'm currently 21wks pregnant with my first baby. I suffer from panic attacks and am quite a nervy person! I'm dreading the thought of being stuck at home with the baby and would love to meet other mums in the area.

hello,

I know exactly what you mean, I'm 24 weeks, first baby and scared crazy. There's a couple of mumsnetters trying to arrange a meet in Derby- coffee, lunch that kind of thing. Are you up for it?

shalaa · 30/10/2004 11:23

Glad to know i'm not the only one! That sounds good i'm up for it!

shalaa (and citrane) hello, I am in Derby with lots of babies (well, 3) and always up for lunch or anything.
I can't do Petesmums suggestion (see shy mums thread) but could do another Saturday instead.
What about it?

Hello Shalaa.

You are more than welcome to join us in Burton on the 20th. It would be lovely to meet you. My sister & I both suffer from panic attacks so I know how you might be feeling.

Hope to see you soon.

Hi, that sounds great! Would be nice to meet others in the same situation. We could meet up for coffee/drinks in the town centre one day? When?s good for everyone? I?m still working full time but I can book an afternoon/morning off.

How far is Burton from derby as I don't drive.

Burton is about 13 miles from Derby & accessible via bus or train (I'd be happy to meet you at the bus stop or station if it helps)

Wednesdays are my night off from baby duties I could meet up with you for a drink and chat en-route home?(I work full time in Nottingham) It's unlikely that I'll be having any time off work between now and Xmas but DS & I are free most weekends. My email address is [email protected].

Hi there.

The X38 only takes 30 mins form Derby to Burton and is a half hourly service.

The timetable is here

I used to live ion Burton and work in Derby, so I know this route very well.

Hope to see you on the 20th.

fairydust · 08/11/2004 11:03

Have to see if my nerves will last me up to Burton! Not been to good lately with panic/anxiety attacks.

I'm near the DRI fairy!

Because I'm easily confused and the Burton meeting details are on 4 different threads, I've started a new one cunningly called "Burton meeting 20th Nov" Looking forward to meeting you all.
