I may be moving to Kings Lynn area in the future thru Dh's job. Anybody recommend any nice areas to live with good schooling (DD is 6). Thanx

South and North Wootton between KL and Sandringham is where I grew up and is lovely.

Check out the catchment area for King Edward VII High School, it's very, very good (and I'm biased because I went there!)

Hi Pipkin

I was just nosing in on this thread because I used to live in Norfolk (and may move back there one day. I might need your advice on things to do in Wymondham!

Naty - have you looked at the villages around KL? Terrington is nice, and there are a few nicce-looking big villages along the train line to Cambrisge. Can't remember the names though.

'lo all. Just joined MN this eve so got abit of reading to catch-up on. Used to be a KL girl and (horror of horrors) went to Gaywood Park. I survived. Now live near Norwich.

kleggie · 30/09/2005 15:39

Hi all! I live in Norwich (grew up in Fakenham and dh grew up in Harpley- village between KL and Fakenham).

Loobyloo, my best friend lives in Fakenham, is 24 and a single Mum to a dd- 4, ds- 2 and a 15week old bump. She's absolutely lovely if you still need some support. And I'm only in Norwich, not far on the X1 bus.

Let us know you're alright and settling down.

mememum · 30/09/2005 16:06

Hello all norfolk mums! I live in Hockering near Dereham also on the X1 bus route. I have a DD who is 2.3 and another DD who is 6m.
Hope all is well and perhaps organise a meet up?
