Bored to tears in Liverpool!!

I'm a 17 year old mum, and I live in Norris Green (aka 'Oh God no not there?!' - Liverpool). I moved here with my husband but I'm originally from Harrogate in Yorkshire. I was seven months pregnant at the time and I've not had chance to make any friends at all... My son's nearly eight months old now and I'm friendless, desperate, and painfully shy!

If you can put up with my shyness then I'd love to make some friends! Anywhere in Liverpool's great, but I don't have a car so you'll have to put up with me being fashionably late or annoyingly early .

If anyone's interested in talking on MSN, emailing or meeting up my email is [email protected]

Thanks!

Hi! Whilst I live no where near Liverpool I would just like to say hello.

My DH and I moved house when I was about 6 months pregnant. And although we moved to his home town (Burton on Trent) apart from a couple DH golf club buddies, I knew no one. It was a lonely time. However it has improved since the birth of DS. I got involved with a baby group (info via my health visitor) and have met other mum's at the local swimming pool when I've taken DS (even a 15 minute natter over a cuppa after swimming was welcome!) I wanted to try NCT meetings but by the time I discovered the contact details for my local group, I was about due back to work so didn't follow that up.

I hope you are contacted by some other MNetters closer to home but please feel free to contact me via MN or email ([email protected])

Hiya I'm in Liverpool (27 year old mum of one). If you look at the Liverpool meet-up threads you'll find a friendly sociable bunch of people, honest! I live in the city centre but don't drive so ditto to the fashionably late or annoying early. It would be great to meet you for a coffee or something.

First top recommendation: FACT (on Wood St in the City Centre) do a film showing you can take babies into every 2nd Thursday at 11 a.m. The next one will be in a fortnight. It's £1 to join, then £3.50 for your ticket, and the baby is free. I always go as I'm just grabbing the chance to get to the cinema without complex babysitting arrangements where possible. Otherwise have you tried the mum & toddlers by yours,or is there a SureStart - they do mum & toddler groups, general parenting classes and classes (some with a free creche).

Hi to you all and thanks for replying! Your messages really cheered me up, I'm going to my parents in Yorkshire for the weekend, but after that I'll be free every single bloomin day lol so coffee sometime would be great!

I might try out that FACT place...

(Thanks for adding me on MSN mishi )

I haven't been to surestart by the way! There's been a breastfeeding saga, I've been locked inside attached to my breastpump until now, I'm finally free to go out (although still expressing milk, just not as often) so I might try there, too!
