Hi everyone!

My name's Jo and I live in Eltham with my husband Robert and our little boy Oliver (17 months).

I'd love to hear from other Mums in the area, meet up, and find out about any existing parent groups in the area.

Hi Jo, I live in New Eltham - quite near you.
I will send you a CAT message as there is an NCT branch active in Eltham and they arrange meetings that everyone is welcome to come along to, not just NCT members.
I think there is also a good mum and toddler group at the big church (can't remember if it is Baptist or United Reformed) at the High Street end of Westmount Road.
Welcome to Mumsnet by the way!

Ooohhh hello Joanna - I live in New ELtham/Sidcup - probably in between Marina and yourself - have 1 4 yr old DD and a DS on the way in 5 weeks - would love to meet up or accompany you to the M&T group or NCT (Am a member in Bromley but know I will need lots to do when I am at home full time!!!) - there are also some mums from Chislehurst, Bromley and Orpoington that meet although I have never managed to go to a meet up.

Hi, I live in Lewisham, not that far away. I have a daughter who will be 3 at the end of October.

Hello,
My name is Carrie, I live in Eltham, I have two girls Lillibel 5 and Amberlise 16 months. I am a very shy mum (although Im 35!) I go to St Lukes toddler group on a Monday. It is a very busy group, where everyone seems to know each other, which can be quite intimidating, and also it is a little too boisterous for my equally shy little girl.
I moved back to Eltham 3 years ago so Ive lost touch with all my old friends, and sometimes feel quite isolated.
I have met one girl through 'mumsnet' who has a little boy of 18 months, so perhaps it would be nice to get a small group of near age toddlers together.
bye for now
carrie

Hi all,
I live in Woolwich (so not very far away) with my husband and our two children. A son aged 20mths and a daughter almost 5 weeks.

I'm 28 and deemed too old to join the group at my local community centre (14-24 year olds) and as I'm also quite shy I don't know any other mothers.

I feel now that my son is missing out and it would be really nice for us both to make some friends.

OlliesMum · 10/01/2005 21:09

Hi Im Laura,

I live in Eltham, round the corner from St Lukes Church on Westmount Road. My Little boy (called oliver too ) is 18 months old and i'd really like to take him there but im very shy. Im 21 years old and love to talk to you all more to break the ice and bring Oliver down to play. I feel he's missing out too cause of my shyness and Oliver loves to play with his cousin it'd be lovely to see him play with other children too.

My email address is [email protected] if you want to chat, im new to this site so i'd reply quicker to an email.

Look foward to getting to know some Eltham mummys

OlliesMum · 10/01/2005 22:03

I forgot to say i've also joined a msn group called

groups.msn.com/HappyMummys

It's a very friendly new group opened this month with only a small amount of members from SE London. Anyone can join, its a great way of meeting new mums in SE London

Tommymum · 14/01/2005 20:24

hi, I'm new to messaging on mumsnet. I've just been reading the messages about arranging a toddler meet up around Eltham. I live in SE18 and have a 17 month old boy. I work Mon to Weds and couldn't find much in the way of toddler groups on Thurs or Fris local to me.Would love to hear from anyone around on those days with toddler age children.

OlliesMum · 19/01/2005 22:34

I know of a few toddler groups that run on a Thursday

toomanypushchairs · 08/02/2005 23:10

Not sure if anyone is going to pick this up now as last message was a few weeks ago. I live in Eltham along the Rochester Way just past the footbridge. I have twin boys just 2yrs old. They would love to get to know some boys in Eltham as all the children we know are girls! Not that we don't like girls.....will see if you are all posting on happy mummies

OlliesMum · 29/05/2006 20:22

Bumping up for toomanypushchairs, i live on the same road!! DS will be 3 start of July and starts Nursery at Deansfield in Sept. Nearly all his little friends are girls too lol.

beachyhead · 30/05/2006 20:42

Do come along to the general SE Mums on Friday 9th June by Greenwich Bandstand at 12 noon, though god help us if it rains like it has been Smile

beachyhead · 30/05/2006 20:43

the bandstand is in the park, I failed to mention.......straight in through the main top gates, down to the Tea House and turn right and just along there on the right........

OlliesMum · 14/06/2006 15:16

mamasboys · 16/01/2009 16:23

Hi , I'm Tam I have two boys; Spencer who is 4 and Rohan who is 2 in February. I live in the Eltham/Mottingham area and was looking for someone to go to toddler groups with or meet for coffee. my eldest son goes to morning nursery and I wanted to do something fun with my youngest while Spencer was at school. If anyone has a child of a similar age and knows of any local morning groups please let me know.
