Is there anybody out there who lives in Kent and is raising their children bi- or multilingually?

I would like to hear from you and meet up...

Hi, AustrianMum. There are a number of us in Kent, but I'm not sure any of us is raising our children bi-lingually.

Aero and I have been discussing the possibility of a Kent meet-up and you'd be very welcome to come along. Can't promise anything other than English though!

There is a coastal Kent meet up taking place at some point. Aero and I (and some others) are more Mid-Kent. Whereabouts do you live?

Aero, what dates will suit you?

KBear · 08/10/2004 21:45

I'm in North Kent - just thought I would say hello (but only in English I'm afraid)!

charliecatthenonsmoker · 08/10/2004 21:48

Im in Tunbridge Wells, speak a bit of Scottish but nothing more than that!

Freckle · 10/10/2004 18:40

Bump. Anyone want to sort a date out?

Cadbury · 10/10/2004 18:48

Helloooooo. I live near Aero and so does Dingle. I'd be up for a meet up. I can train it to lots of places.

Where about's are you AustrianMum? I only speak English and rather ropey French I'm afraid but am always keen to meet other mnetters.

MeanBean · 10/10/2004 19:41

AM I'm in North Kent and speak German, but not to my children ('m not a native German speaker, and it's nearly twenty years since I was fluent). I'd be quite happy to speak it with other people though and my kids are used to hearing me speak it to friends, au-pairs etc.

BensMum · 11/10/2004 13:38

I'm in Tunbridge Wells too!

A bit rusty on the german, did live and work in Graz for a year, but that was over 10 years ago now!

pupuce · 11/10/2004 13:42

Hi we're in Tunbridge Wells too and we raise in French and English

Aero · 11/10/2004 13:56

Yesss - I'd love to meet up again Freckle! Evening or daytime? Can give you a lift Cadbury if in the evening and prefer not to drive toooooo far at night. During the day is fine as long as I can get back for the school run. Personally though, I love to have an evening off without the kids, but am happy to fit in with any plans.

Aero · 11/10/2004 13:59

Freckle - I can pretty much do any night except Thurs as dh is at college that night. Daytimes are flexible as most planned things can be changed, so any day really would suit.
