City lunchtime meet-up – for those who can’t wait till the 13th October !

Twinkie and I are meeting up on Tuesday next week (5th Oct) at All Bar One on Hounsditch (5 min walk from Liverpool St Station, Broadgate side) at 12:30.

Any other city mumsnetters going to be around ?

'Fraid not. I've got that day pencilled in for open day visits to two different secondary schools. The joy.

But have yourselves a good time. I shall be thinking of you as dd1 and I tour the umpteenth science lab, and listen to the headteacher drone on about the wonderful discipline policy.

Do they have a no smoking section? I'd love to come up but will have ds with me and can't remember how "pub-like"that All Bar One is.

Prufrock, all bar one is no good as although they have a non-smoking area they do not allow children in. The same goes for Phoenix Pub on Throgmorton St which is smoke-free.

So lets change venue - Costa on Hounsditch, or Starbucks on Lime St (next to Lloyds building) ?

Any preferences laydeeezzz ?

Oh bloody hell lets just to go where we normally go to at least they will have a highchair and it is warm and dry and there are no smokers!!

Oh right - Appold St was fine wasn't it or there is a Starbucks with a huge downstairs on Old Broad St just near Liverpool St Station.

Would love to come but I've just got too much on right now to spare 2 hours at lunchtime for two weeks running.

Fortunately my Tokyo trip has been postponed a week so I can now definitely make the meet up on the 13th.....!!

I am new to all this - was wondering if you all know each other already. If not do you all wear a big carnation so you know who to go over to when you meet up? I am in the City and might pluck up courage to join you!!

KBear it would be lovely if you can join us.

At the moment there is me, Twinkie, Countess Dracula and Prufrock.Think we have all met before except Twinkie and the Countess.

But once we decide on a venue the best thing on the day is to post that morning what you are wearing. I will also give a description of myself and then - believe me you'll know ! We usually have one or two new people at meet-ups and we have always found each other.

I feel v. bad about this - but I can't come now - dh has just informed me that he is working from home that day so that he can spend some time with me and ds before going on yet another 3 day conference. So after having caused you to change the venue for the sake of ds I am now not coming - will you still let me come to future ones or will you not talk to me?
