sorry all but i'm not capable of making plans that far into the future.

i can do a Friday if Grandma is taking dd home which she does every 3 weeks or so.

will try to co-ordinate so that it coincides with whichever night you guys plump for.

sorry for the vagueness but at present am just about holding daily life together.

rumours of redundancies at work, mortgage issues, promotion "delayed" on (somewhat) trumped up charges......

am feeling a bit stressed!

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 10:31

No worries oaddle, the most likely dates currently (in order to accomodate the most guests) look like either SAT 13th or Sat 20th October. You can just tag along if it is a date suitable to you no problem.

Hope things sort themselves out for you asap.

COV i keep holding off because of personal commitments but a sat towards end of October seems like a good bet

and counting on a lift from kindly neighbours

Kewcumber · 25/07/2007 11:26

I have no life Cov, I can do any date depending on my mum acting as babysitter but she won't know this far in advance. Pick a date and I'll ask her if she can keep that date free.

eleusis · 25/07/2007 11:40

paddle

Do you want me to come over sometime and I'll buy us some fatboys. Tis yummy you know.

elesbells · 25/07/2007 11:48

if anyone needs a lift ill be coming from M4 along A312

xoxo · 25/07/2007 18:02

seeing as Foxy has declined my kindly invitation to drive, can I cadge a lift and get rip roaringly drunk then?

foxcub · 25/07/2007 21:10

Actually I would love a lift so I can get rat arsed but feel duty bound to offer up my services

I'm just worried that if I don't drive other people there will not be enough cars....

eleusis · 25/07/2007 21:48

Train and taxi people. Jeez, you think you were taking a trip abroad when in fact you are barely crossing the Thames.

Good grief. You should get out more.

ComeOVeneer · 25/07/2007 21:55

Ele is right. I have ventured from this her hicksville into your territory many a time, it really is quite easy

I refuse to do public transport with a baby and buggy

anyway public transport is full of - people! Eeek!

eleusis · 26/07/2007 08:02

Eh? You don't do public transport with a baby? I can understand avoiding rush hour, but you don't do it at all? Hmmmm... seems rather anti-green.

foxcub · 26/07/2007 11:39

Ele - I would ask you not to judge me so swiftly - seeing as I have used my car probably less than 8 times in the past 5 months!!!

I will use public transport once it is made disabled accessible.

No doubt you are a beacon of good practice.

eleusis · 26/07/2007 12:22

I'm just teasing you. I have plenty of anti-green behaviours of my own, like working in the oil industry.

foxcub · 26/07/2007 12:34

Oh Ok - sorry - having a bit of a sense of humour bypass today.

My dad forgot DD's birthday and my company forgot to pay me. Enough to give anyone a humour bypass me thinks!

Kewcumber · 26/07/2007 12:51

foxie how can they "forget" to pay you

If its any consolation (none, I know) my dad doesn;t even know DS's brithday in order to gorget it. In fact I'm not even sure he would remember his name .. or mine come to that [bitter emoticon]

eleusis · 26/07/2007 12:52

My dad always forget birthdays. But then I forgot father's day so I guess we're even.

One time I gave him a really hard time about neglecting my kids who are still his grand kids in spit of living in another coutry and he responded with a £700 gift certificate to amazon.co.uk. Woo hoo happy shopping that was!
