I think the problem is signing up to dates so far away - don't know what work/family things are going to happen then! (Not that MN isn't more important, of course)

Should I just pick a date and tell everyone when it is?

Probably best! You will never get a date that suits everyone. Or maybe suggest 2 or 3 dates and see which is most popular with everyone.

(I was waiting to see which date and may even try and fit in a solo shopping weekend from Budapest but don't tell DH!)

17th November and 1st December are cutrrently tying for the lead.
