WEll we had been talking about it for a bit, what with everything that had happened with my Dad & DH's Mum over the last year and a bit. Then there was a bit of a misunderstanding about money in DH's company about a month ago and we thought he was without a job and that they owed us money, so had a slight panic. All sorted now but it did make us think and we want to put ourselves in the best financial position that we can.
We worked out if we sold up here and went back to Somerset we'd be a lot better off financially. There is somewhere for us to stay for as long as we need it and a place available (they aren't often) for DD in one of the Cheddar Valley first schools, so we decided to grab it whilst we could.
Still have to sell up here which is going to take a bit of time I think. It's all a bit stressful as my MIL in Spain is dying. They withdrew everything on Tuesday and we're waiting for the call. Poor DH must be so stressed. DD doesn't want to know when it happens so we are trying to pretend everything is fine.
So all a bit stressful but everything that has happened has made me want to be much nearer to my family and the thing that really made the decision was DD and schools. I'm not happy with the middle school up the road which she'd be going to in a year and think she will get much better support at the one in Somerset. The new first school are being brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. I just mentioned that there had been a discussion about her using a keyboard, the head immediatly said they have one she can use.
So it is as DD is putting it, topsy turvy news. I'm really sad to be leaving Dorset, but happy to go back. We're hoping to buy a caravan down here so will still be able to come down, maybe you'll still let me in on one of your meetups
