1 week till my boys (age 6 and 9) will be off school. Our first long summber hols since we relocated to Scotland. Would any of you like to meet up this Wednesday for coffee before I'm on summer entertainment duty? On previous outings to the Macrobert I have met Suis and then Gomez. It would be lovelly to meet you again and/or any of you other Scottish mumsnetters.

Due to various home deliveries, school funday and school trip (plus early closing on Friday) I seem to only have Wednesday free. Is that any good for anyone? 10.30 (ish) at the Macrobert?

Hi figleaf
Sorry I can't make Wednesdays as I work Wed-Fri . I'll keep an eye out for any threads that organise a meet on another day cos Grace & I would love to me some local mummies and babies. How are you finding Scotland? Are you enjoying the lovely weather we are having at the mo??

Take care
Julie & Grace x

Figleaf - I would have been up for that, but this Wednesday morning is our playgroup sports day and the last one of the term.

But after term ends then ds (4) and dd (2) and I will be free if you still fancy meeting somewhere that would suit your boys?

I'm just outside Drymen btw so halfway b/w Glasgow and Stirling.

I'd be up for a meet at some point. I'm in Fife but my MIL is in Stirling so I'm over a fair bit. Can't do this week though.

I'll keep you in mind girls. Not sure how well the kids would all mix though as my oldest is 9. Meeting while they have been at school has been nice. So many things are on in this last week of term I feel a meet up may not be possible

Figleaf - if you can ever make it over to Dumbarton there is a massive soft play for up to teens. It's on several levels with a free arcade on the top floor with all the conventional arcade games (driving/air hockey/motorbikes etc) rigged so they're free! Great cafes downstairs with flat screen monitors and CCTV on the children - the ultimate in lazy parenting - your boys would love it!

Anyway, it's called Sox and Slides and it would keep everyone's dc amused - honest

Thats very kind Bobsmum (will put that info in my kids entertainment folder). If we dont meet up over the holidays I hope we can after the schools go back.I'm a bit of a "Billy no mates" moving 450 miles in our relocation. The Mumsnet meets that I've had have been nice. Without them the only grown ups I get to speak to are the builders and the army of pensioners who walk their dogs in the woods by my house.

We've been here for about 2 years now, having been living in Herts for 5 years. But I had the added advantage of having grown up in Glasgow, so I've picked up with a lot of old friends from uni who are still around. But very few have families, so it's a whole new world of daytime that I'd never known in SCotland.

I'm only just finding all the kids entertainment stuff in central scotland that wasn't around or wasn;t any where near when I was growing up!

I remember your thread vaguely about house hunting - glad you finally made it!
